2014 Brawl For All, Who wins?
2014 Brawl For All, Who wins?
say WWE where to run a Brawl For All today with the current roster (assuming everyone is healthy) , who do you think would win the tournament?
for those who don't remember, Brawl for All was a shoot fight tournament that WWF ran back in the day. Huge failure IMO since as you can imagine, a lot of the guys are not trained fighters and would end up getting knocked out easily.

now that Del Rio is gone, my vote is for Barrett, being a bare knuckle fighter should account for something.Big Red Machine wrote:Probably Swagger.

That's true. He's another guy who could win it. I guess it would really depend on the rules.cero2k wrote:now that Del Rio is gone, my vote is for Barrett, being a bare knuckle fighter should account for something.Big Red Machine wrote:Probably Swagger.

Re: 2014 Brawl For All, Who wins?
Butterbean!!! Can I pick Butterbean!?
Bryan has plenty of "training" but none of it has ever been applied to anyone who was trying to do it back.
Was Barrett actually a bare knuckle fighter!? I thought that was just a gimmick he had in FCW...
Swagger was a good amateur wrestler, and Cody Rhodes claims to have been, but Brawl For All was never about tap outs or mat skills, sure you got points for takedowns but the winners of these Tough Man type things is always the guy that can take your punches and knock you out with one of his. For that reason, I like Cesaro. The dude's just so effing strong, I don't care who he's in there with he'd only have to hit 'em once.
In a Dark Horse sort of way, I'd also like Erik Rowan in this sort of thing. The huge sloppy guy, with not a whole lot to lose but pride, running in there throwing haymakers right off the bat. Guys like Erik are why I'd say guys like Bryan and Rhodes wouldn't stand a chance...
I think Big E'd be fun to watch, as would Bray Wyatt and Rusev... but in the end, I think Cesaro takes it.
Dolph I don't think is trained in anything but salesmanship.Big Red Machine wrote:That's true. He's another guy who could win it. Dolph was a top amateur wrestler in college, and had his school's record for pins.Bob-O wrote:Butterbean!!! Can I pick Butterbean!?

I know he has at least sparred. I don't think he's ever been in a sanctioned tournament or anything.Bob-O wrote: Bryan has plenty of "training" but none of it has ever been applied to anyone who was trying to do it back.
Yes. This was legit.Bob-O wrote: Was Barrett actually a bare knuckle fighter!? I thought that was just a gimmick he had in FCW...
That's what I said it depends on the rules. If it is basically a shoot fight, I'd go with Swagger or MAYBE Dragon or Dolph. If it is a boxing thing the way the old brawl for all was, I'd give it to Wade or Big Show (who I believe is also has boxing training).Bob-O wrote: Swagger was a good amateur wrestler, and Cody Rhodes claims to have been, but Brawl For All was never about tap outs or mat skills, sure you got points for takedowns but the winners of these Tough Man type things is always the guy that can take your punches and knock you out with one of his.
