Rock insulting Cena's appearance is just him insulting WWE for making Cena wear that stuff.

That Rock Concert was a waste of my time.

You know what, I honestly feel like I have REGRESSED slightly in every possible category for having endured that last segment.

Not only did it suck donkey dick, but The Rock didn't put one morsel of effort into a single fucking part of it. He had the lyrics WRITTEN ON A FUCKING MUSIC STAND IN FRONT OF HIM, which he looked at every five seconds because god forbid the actor learns his fucking lines. He probably got the shit handed to him by Brian Gewirtz an hour beforehand, and didn't bother to even read it. Not that he had to, all he had to do was figure out the same chord progression he was gonna play over and over and over and over again while he barely sang the same melody over and over again with different words.

He then proceeded to dirty the legacy of Freddie Mercury by making a mockery of that song. Which by the way, HE NEEDED THE FUCKING LYRICS ON THE TRON JUST TO FUCKING REMEMBER.

The thing I find funniest about this is the fact that every single Rock mark on the internet that's ripped on Cena for "being a bully" isn't gonna say JACK SHIT about shit Rock said there. Now, I've gone on record as saying I don't give a shit about gay jokes in promos etc, but I think it sets one fucking hell of a double standard for WWE to be giving this shit week after week about not being a bully, and then let The Rock go out and make remarks including implications that Cena's gay, therefore it is a bad thing, Cena being a woman, therefore being a woman is a bad thing, and finally going on to make fun of Cena's mother. What Rock did was everything the high school bully would do. And yet every single Rocky mark's gonna defend it with "COME ON IT'S PRO WRESTLING WHAT DO YOU EXPECT!!!!11!1ONE!!1!" when they ripped Cena for the same shit this time last year.

Fuck everything about that segment.

I agree with you for the most part, but I will come to The Rock's defense on the lyrics issue. I am not a music fan, but I do enjoy comedic parody and have actually written some myself (and from this point of view, I must express just how much I agree with your comment about The Rock crapping on Freddie Mercury's legacy, as that parody was just plain horrible. It didn't match up with the words well, and you just don't parody a song that is that epic when your parody isn't good). It is hard to remember your lyrics when the actual lyrics to the song are running through your head. I would imagine it is even harder to do so when you are also playing an instrument.

Ok, maybe he has an excuse for the tron lyrics, but not for while he was playing guitar. He played like three chords. The chords he was playing were the absolute basic chords that they teach you when you first start playing, and he was playing them very slowly. That was the sort of stuff that anyone who's been playing more than a year can do in their sleep. It wouldn't have been hard in the slightest for him to have learned those lines and remembered then, he's an actor. I've been playing guitar for much less time than him and can sing and play much more complex stuff at the same time.

Even I noticed now amateur the music was, and that says something. In this segment, with the way he was bashing Cena, The Rock really felt (to me) like that stereotypical college d-bag who gets all of the attention form the girls by playing crappy amateur songs on his guitar, flexing his muscles, and being an asshole, actually going as far as to look down on people who are actual nice people (or, in this case, people who stand for good things like hustle, loyalty, and respect).

This promo made it clear to me the that The Rock is phoning it in, and that just makes me sad.
