Because tonight's a special occasion, I've busted out my Stone Ruination and filled my vaporizer with "juicy fruit" flavor to watch this. We begin with a video package (didn't watch it). You know, seeing how cavernous the Superdome is, I'm kind of glad I watch at home instead of going. I don't imagine the view would be that good unless you were sitting in the very front row.

Opening Segment -- B

So we get another Hogan slip, calling the Superdome the Silverdome... DAMN, Austin gets a bigger pop than Hogan!... Hogan getting a Stunner? Don't count on it. Hogan doesn't job for anyone... Rock comes out to maybe a bigger pop than Austin... I'm reminded of what Jericho asked once "Bring what? A vomit bag? A fig newton?"... Getting a rundown of events from Rocky. Bet those smarks think they're really brave and edgy booing Cena... Good hype segement. Finished up in Stone Cold fashion, by the three slugging cheap fizzy yellow beer...

Triple H vs. Daniel Bryan -- A

Lavish entrance by Hunter. If you're going to go all-out, this is the time to do it... Predictably, Bryan gets a bigger pop than Hunter, so that's good. And I'm still loving that rock version of Ride of the Valkyries... "If Daniel Bryan loses we riot" I'd tempt fate with that, but I like stirring sh*t so... Bryan taking control early on... Cool swinging DDT off the apron by Bryan... Hey! A crossface chickenwing by Hunter! Haven't seen that since I last watched old Bob Backlund matches... Sweet German Suplexes by Bryan!... Damn, son! What a killer lariat by Hunter! Almost looked like Nigel McGuiness... Geez! These false finishes!... "Nobody does it like you, Hunter" I think I'm going to be sick... Ho! Ly! Sh*t!.. Beadown after the match. Should have seen this coming.

Ha! Cole takes a moment to rag on Hogan by calling the arena the Silverdome.

The New Age Outlaws and Kane vs. The Shield -- C

The crowd seems a bit out of this... Good god, who's the legal man here?... Wooooooowww! Double powerbomb!... Did this match last like 10 minutes? If that?

André The Giant Memorial Battle Royal -- A-

So all 30 competitors are starting off in the ring. with Big Show and Sheamus entering last as we come back to the ring... There's too much going on, I can't really follow without giving play-by-play... Geez, I lost count after 20 smashes by Sheamus. That'll leave a mark on Fandango... JBL telling Big Show to eat Rey XD ... Wow! Cesaro on a tear! And what a save by Kofi!... 22 Airplane spins by Cesaro... The final four remaining now Cesaro, Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus, and Big Show... And now down to Cesaro and Big Show. Big finish time... OH! MY! GOD! WHAT A F**KING FINISH! Un! Believable!

Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena -- A-

How about that, a live performance of "Live in Fear" by Mark Crozer... This man's come a long way from being Husky Harris on NXT... Mixed reaction (typical) for Cena. See my earlier remark for my opinions on the booing of Cena... Bray starts by begging Cena to finish him... So the ref scolds and counts out Cena for wailing on Bray, but doesn't do the same for Bray when he does it to Cena... Good counter, reversing a top rope maneuver with a powerbomb... Good swerve, Cena looks to go for Bray off the top, but instead crossbodies Harper and Rowan, leading to a bit of brawling outside... Cena spears Harper through a barricade, getting Bray ticked... I'll admit I popped for that finish. If that makes me a dumb, drunk mark, well, so what?

Howard Finkel introuduces all the people inducted to the hall of fame the night before. To recap, they are Jake the Snake Roberts, Paul Bearer, Lita, Carlos Colon, Razor Ramon, and The Ultimate Warror (rest in peace)

Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker -- why.jpg

I (perhaps predictably so, screw weekend work) had this spoiled for me the day of the event, so I don't feel like commenting on this. Watch it yourself if you haven't already. I suppose if I need to give this a (fair) rating, I'll stick it with an A-

Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship invitational -- C+

"First time the Diva's Championship has been defended at Wrestlemania" Shows you how much they think of that title... Predictably they all gang up on AJ and Tamina at first... Three simultaneous suplexes... Double crossbodies to everyone on the outside... Now it's just the Bellas who turn on each other... And that's it. That was pretty quick -_- ...

Randy Orton (c) vs. Batista vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship -- A+

Another live performance, this time of Orton's theme... I see JBL was quick enough to grab his hat this time before the action came their way... Why's Batista kicking out at one after that beating outside?... Bryan surprises both guys with a top rope dropkick... Here comes Hunter to interfere. Makes me miss the days when fans would throw garbage at the heels... Whee! Ref bump!... Suicide dive to Hunter, Armstrong, AND Steph... Hunter's got the sledge! And now Bryan does, whacking Hunter with it!... Bryan gets double-teamed by Orton and Batista... Clearing the tables now... What a spot! Powerbomb and cutter combo!... I think Orton took a monitor to the back... Bryan's being wheeled away... Bryan's refusing treatment and going back to the ring! Shades of Foley vs Taker from KOTR '98... Eh, I think Orton should have teased a punt... What a dodge by Orton, leaving Bryan to take the spear... YES! WWE definitely saved the best for last! I'm busting out the big one for this! A freaking Plus... Hard to imagine the same Michael Cole pumping up Daniel Bryan once had nothing nice to say about him.

This show alone was (almost) worth the $60 I'm going to pay for the WWE Network.
