TNA Final Resolution 2012 (12/9/2012)- Orlando, FL

STORM & KAZARIAN SEGMENT- this dragged on a lot longer than it should have, but when it was done it set up…

JAMES STORM vs. KAZARIAN- 4.5/10 Disappointingly short. They should have taken five minutes off of the talking segment

TNA X-DIVISION TITLE MATCH: Rob Van Dam(c) vs. Kenny King- 5.5/10
It looked like RVD was about to show Kenny King some post-match respect when they cut away to go to the highlights of the match, which is disappointing, as maybe getting some post-match respect from Van Dam could have actually given Kenny King some sort of positive coming out of this match.

DANIELS PROMO- very good. This is the first thing they have done in the entire build up to this match has ever made me really fell like this might be the "Final Showdown" it is being advertised as. Unfortunately my brain tells me it won't be because... because this is the third "one last match" there two have had in TNA in the past eighteen months.

TNA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Chavo Guerrero Jr. & Hernandez(c) vs. Matt Morgan & Joey Ryan- 5.5/10
Was going well until the bad finish. If you didn't want to put Morgan and Ryan over in this match, you shouldn't have made the match.

AUSTIN ARIES PROMO- eh

AUSTIN ARIES vs. BULLY RAY- 6/10

Seeing as how this match is between Mickie James and Tara, it makes perfect sense that most of the pre-match hype revolved around Velvet Sky, right? If you answered "no," you are officially smarter that the TNA Booking Committee. Congratulations.

TNA KNOCKOUTS TITLE MATCH: Tara(c) (w/Jessie Godderz) vs. Mickie James- 5.5/10

ACES & EIGHTS vs. KURT ANGLE, SAMOA JOE, WES BRISCO, & GARRETT BISCHOFF- 4.5/10
Aces & Eights looked weak losing cleanly so quickly. Wes Brisco spearing the Aces & Eights guy "inadvertently" preventing Kurt from hitting him with the hammer was a good touch that will hopefully be brought up when Wes is revealed as a member of Aces & Eights, but it really didn't feel like anything even close to significant happened here.

AJ STYLES PROMO- good

AJ-DANIELS VIDEO PACKAGE- WHOA? Where did some of these comments from AJ come from? He sounded borderline heelish himself here.

PINFALLS AND SUBMISSIONS ONLY MATCH: AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels- 7.75/10
Great stuff, but if this really is the final match between these two, I would have liked to see it go longer than just seventeen minutes. On the other hand, the finish makes me almost certain that it won't be the last match between them.

TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Jeff Hardy(c) vs. Bobby Roode- 6.5/10
Not good enough for a main event, and I absolutely hated both the finish and the aftermath. Aces & Eights distract Roode, giving Hardy the win, then Aces & Eights attack both Roode and Hardy. All of the guys who have been fighting Aces & Eights recently (Angle, Joe, Bully, Wes Brisco, Garrett) and nowhere to be found.

Overall, a very bad show from TNA. AJ and Daniels was the only thing on this show that felt PPV quality, and nothing really felt like it moved forward here aside from AJ vs. Daniels and Bully Ray-Hogan story (Hogan now knows that Bully truly cares about Brooke, so presumably Hulk will trust him now). This really felt no different from any old episode of Impact.

STUPID ANNOUNCER QUOTES:
1. Taz (after Bully tossed Aries out of the ring when Aries was yelling at Brooke) "Thank G-d Bully got up here and got him out of that ring. Lord knows what he would have done."
If Aries had wanted to hit her, he had ample time to do so. All he was doing was yelling at her for coming down to the ring and interfering in his match, which is perfectly reasonable.

2. The announcers all say that Aries stole the victory from Bully Ray... yet no one mentions that Aries was in a great position before Brooke came out and prevented him from hitting Bully with a big move off the top! Of course, none of the announcers put any at all blame on Brooke for interfering in a match and putting herself in harm's way.
