BRM Reviews the 9/14/2012 Smackdown

OPENING SEGMENT- HORRIBLE! It started off okay. Then it started to go downhill when Dragon came out. Involving Dragon is this is a major booking mistake. You are trying to turn him into some sort of comedy tweener, so putting him out there with these full heels isn't a good idea. Also booking Sheamus vs. Dragon tonight is a bad idea. Sheamus shouldn't lose right before the PPV, and having the "submission expert" tap to a guy who has been using submissions for less than a month now will make Dragon look like a chump.

Then Sheamus comes out and PURPOSELY GOES AFTER THE INJURED NECK OF A MAN WHOSE NECK HE HURT... GOING SO FAR AS TO RIP OFF HIS NECK BRACE! I seem to recall Shane Douglas getting MAJOR heat for doing something similar. Sheamus has become a huge bully in the past few weeks, which is not how a babyface should behave.

SIN CARA vs. THE MIZ- 3.25/10
Too short. Also, either WWE is splicing in older images of cheering fans, or there is one guy who is really behind on the times. During this match, I saw a sign in the crowd that said "People Power... Stinks"

IC TITLE HYPE SEGMENT- Wow. Rey's lines sounded so scripted, especially when compared to the conversation that Miz & Cody were just having.

DRAGON, KANE & DR. SHELBEY BACKSTAGE- Really? Testicles and dick-size jokes? Really, WWE?

KANE vs. KOFI KINGSTON- very well worked, but way too short.

RANDY ORTON PROMO- I wasn't feeling this at all.

RANDY ORTON vs. TENSAI (w/Sakamoto)- 6/10
After the match, Randy once again makes Ziggler look like a chump

US TITLE HYPE SEGMENT- GREAT! This was the first time that the "five languages" schtik didn't feel like a waste of time.

WADE BARRETT PROMO- awesome

KAITLYN vs. BETH PHOENIX- OH COME ON! Beth Phoenix jobs to KAITLYN?

BOOKER T & TEDDY ARE JERKS TO EVE BACKSTAGE- if whatever it is that Eve told Booker he has to look over before the PPV turns out to be important, this will be a good segment. If not, it will have been a waste of time.

DANIEL BRYAN vs. SHEAMUS- 6.25/10
Not good enough for a main event, and makes Dragon look like a chump.

Overall, mostly a bad episode of Smackdown, but it was passable as a go-home show.
