BRM Reviews the 2/6/2012 Raw

Post by Big Red Machine » Feb 6th, '12, 21:06

TRIPLE H & TAKER STUFF- pretty good.

THE BIG SHOW vs. DANIEL BRYAN (w/AJ!)- no rating. Good segment.

JOHN CENA AND SOME RANDOM RACE CAR DRIVER- who cares?

SHEAMUS vs. DAVID OTUNGA- no rating. Good segment.

JERICHO PROMO- was good, but he took it too far. Is Jericho really claiming to be the first person to come to the ring with a female manager or the first to have catchphrases? The stuff with Punk was good, though.

RANDY ORTON & THE GREAT KHALI vs. WADE BARRETT & CODY RHODES- 4.5/10... but entirely pointless and just plain bad booking. First they waste time feeding one of their two biggest up and coming stars to the Great Khali who not only has proven that he can't wrestle and doesn't draw, but who DOESN'T NEED THE WIN BECAUSE HE IS SO DAMN LARGE! Then Randy Orton puts Khali down (which I did pop for because Khali got put down).

CENA VIDEO PACKAGE- same one from last week. I say "BOO!"

EVE TORRES, KELLY KELLY, ALICIA FOX, & TAMINA vs. BETH PHOENIX, NATALYA, & THE BELLA TWINS- DUD! I'm not even sure that this went a full minute.

TRIPLE H & JOHNNY ACE BACKSTAGE- okay

SIX PACK CHALLENGE TO DETERMINE WHO WILL ENTER THE ELIMINATION CHAMBER LAST: Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk vs. R-Truth vs. The Miz vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler (w/Vickie Guerrero)- 7.5/10.

STUFF WITH KANE & EVE BACKSTAGE- not bad, but should have been done earlier in the night.

Overall, a good episode of Raw

Good episode? There was a whole portion where nothing happened! Ad break, Cena/car segment, promo package, promo package, ad break!

The Triple H portion of the opening segment was rather awkward. Especially when it came to the stock audio they used for the packages. Undertaker's bit was badass.

Overall, this episode of RAW made me switch off and go to sleep round about Sheamus vs Otunga.

I think the stuff between Orton and Khali is to set up for Friday's Bryan V. Orton match.
It'll give a legit excuse for Khali to help Bryan so he can either win or at least escape defeat.

I thought RAW was great in the story aspect, but the wrestling itself was weak.

Good call. I hadn't considered this.
