-- Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair is officially being promoted as the main event of WrestleMania 35.
WWE issued a press release today announcing that Rousey, Lynch, and Charlotte's triple threat match for the Raw Women's Championship will be the first-ever women's main event of WrestleMania. The press release was also posted in an article on WWE.com.
Rousey made her in-ring debut at last year's WrestleMania and has held the Raw Women's title since August. Lynch was the winner of this year's women's Royal Rumble match, though there was a storyline where her title shot was taken away before the triple threat became official for WrestleMania when Rousey caused Lynch to defeat Charlotte by disqualification in their match at Fastlane.
WrestleMania 35 is taking place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on April 7. Here's what's been announced for the show thus far:
Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey defending against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a triple threat match
Universal Champion Brock Lesnar defending against Seth Rollins
Triple H vs. Batista in a no holds barred match
AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton
United States Champion Samoa Joe defending against Rey Mysterio
Kurt Angle vs. Baron Corbin (Angle's farewell match)
Shane McMahon vs. The Miz
Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal (Braun Strowman is the first entrant confirmed for the match)
WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy defending against Tony Nese
-- Two members of the Hart Foundation will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame over WrestleMania 35 weekend.
WWE confirmed via Yahoo Sports today that Bret Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart will be inducted into their Hall of Fame on Saturday, April 6.
“It was very emotional for me,” Bret told Yahoo Sports. “It really means a lot to me and I think it would mean a lot to my late tag partner, who would be really honored to be in the Hall of Fame. I think we both were really proud of our work as a team. I had hoped for years that we would get inducted together and get to go on stage together, but that’s not going to happen now. Emotionally, I feel really proud and I’m glad to get a chance to speak for Jim and I know he’ll be listening.”
Natalya tweeted: "GRIT. DETERMINATION. PASSION. THAT’S WHAT BUILDS A FOUNDATION. CONGRATULATIONS DADDY & @brethart ... YOU. DESERVE. IT. #wwehalloffame"
Though he was originally reported as being inducted with the Hart Foundation, Jimmy Hart wasn't included in today's announcement. Jimmy was inducted individually in 2005.
Bret joins Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, and Booker T on the list of two-time WWE Hall of Famers. Michaels is being inducted as part of D-Generation X this year, while Booker T and Stevie Ray are being inducted as Harlem Heat.
This year's Hall of Fame ceremony is taking place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. D-X (Michaels, Triple H, Chyna, X-Pac, Road Dogg & Billy Gunn), Honky Tonk Man, Torrie Wilson, Harlem Heat, and Bret & Neidhart have been announced for the Hall of Fame class, and longtime WWE employee Sue Aitchison will receive the Warrior Award.

Because they also talk about Rollins vs. Brock as a "WrestleMania main event" and will probably do so for Bryan vs. Kofi and maybe even Hunter vs. Batista, too.

and WWE's complete incompetence to having everything planned out beforehand and being able to follow through with such plans

Re: Lynch vs Charlotte vs Rousey To Main Event Wrestlemania 35, Hart Foundation to HOF
To justify paying Lesnar as much as those three ladies combined...
I swear to god though... I read from one of the more reliable sources that before they turned Rhonda heel, the original plan was to close the show with all three ladies embracing out of mutual respect... but now that Rhonda is heel they "MIGHT" not go that route...
Just to drive home "because WWE...", at least two weeks after Rhonda's full blown heel turn... four/five weeks after "I don't care what the script says..." the plan was to close Wrestlemania with the three of them hugging. It "might" still be the plan.

The mutual respect thing would have worked if it was Ronda vs Becky 1 on 1 and Becky had gotten the victory, because then you'd have Ronda give Becky the respectful nod after being defeated clean to put her over as a "legit" fighter.Bob-O wrote: ↑Mar 25th, '19, 16:44To justify paying Lesnar as much as those three ladies combined...

Don't forget all women will walk out to the ramp to clap for them and Steph will be front center and Cole will say the word history 3 times in the same sentenceBob-O wrote: ↑Mar 25th, '19, 16:44To justify paying Lesnar as much as those three ladies combined...
