Nashville, Tenn. (June 20, 2017) – Masked Mexican wrestling icon Dos Caras will make his IMPACT WRESTLING debut at Slammiverarsy on July 2nd in The Impact Zone at Universal Studios Florida.
Dos Caras (Spanish for, Two Faces) is the father of IMPACT superstar Alberto El Patron, the GFW Global Champion, who at Slammiversary will challenge reigning IMPACT World Champion Bobby Lashley in a title unification match.
Dos Caras will be in his son’s corner for the main event match.
Dos Caras made his wrestling debut in 1970 and is part of wrestling royalty in Mexico. He has two sons (Alberto El Patron and El Hijo de Dos Caras) who are wrestlers, and he is the brother of Mexican wrestling icon Mil Máscaras. Plus, two nephews also are wrestlers.
“It’s an honor to welcome Dos Caras to IMPACT WRESTLING for Slammiversary,” said Jeff Jarrett, who is IMPACT’s Chief Creative Officer. “I’m sure Dos Caras won’t be afraid to intervene on Alberto’s behalf, if need be, and he still carries a mighty punch.”
Dos Caras has been a World Champion on many occasions in multiple promotions, and he is a member of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame (Class of 1998).

I have very little interest in this PPV but might watch it just for the X-Division Title and the Word Title.

You literally didn't even mention what the headline is about.Big Red Machine wrote: ↑Jun 20th, '17, 16:05 I have very little interest in this PPV but might watch it just for the X-Division Title and the Word Title.
.. don't say "I mentioned watching it for the world title and he'll be in one of the corners for that match.", Because that's not the point lol.
When they come, they'll come at what you love.

My comment implies that them bringing in a legendary name has no bearing on whether or not I will watch the show. He as failed to draw me.KILLdozer wrote: ↑Jun 20th, '17, 16:21You literally didn't even mention what the headline is about.Big Red Machine wrote: ↑Jun 20th, '17, 16:05 I have very little interest in this PPV but might watch it just for the X-Division Title and the Word Title.

And now that I think about it I'm getting worried we might get some stupid finish involving him either interfering or being attacked or something.

Of course there will be. Absolutely and undoubtedly. There wouldn't be much of a reason for him to be even be there otherwise. Except, oh yeah he won in front of his legendary Father, who is proud.

Which is what I would think if this was CHIKARA or ROH or EVOLVE. TNA has earned the opposite reputation. That they'll always do things the stupid, complicated way instead of the, basic, clean, simple way. (WWE does that, too, but I think the reason it bothers me a bit more from TNA is that in TNA's case they seem to do it because they think they're being interesting or exciting and that overbooking is what fans want to see and so they're doing the "right" thing by giving it to us. In WWE's case it usually seems to stem from an overzealous desire to protect people while still trying to give us matches they think we want to see. WWE's are more "yes, we know we're f*cking them on the finish and we'd rather not do it except that we have to protect our guys and we need to do these matches for ratings so we're going to do a bad finish" while TNA is completely out of touch with what people want at that basic level.)
