The launch of FloSlam signaled a shift in the landscape of professional wrestling, and as the dust continues to settle, promotions are positioning themselves to put on the best shows in the world.

Today, Full Impact Pro announced their latest move, naming Gabe Sapolsky the promotion's new head booker.

Sapolsky, WWN Vice President of Talent Relations and Head of Creative, also serves as head booker of EVOLVE. However, crossover does not mean conformity as Sapolsky said he plans to take FIP in a bold new direction.

"FIP is going to be the Wild West," Sapolsky stated in a WWN press release. "When people think of me now, they think of EVOLVE. This is not going to EVOLVE 2.0 at all. It's going to add something totally new to The WWN Family."

FIP is a part of the FloSlam lineup, with its next event, "FIP: Everything Burns 2017," taking place Jan. 8 at The Orpheum in Ybor City, Fla. The event will stream live on FloSlam and features such independent stars as FIP Heavyweight Champion Fred Yehi, FIP Florida Heritage Champion Martin Stone, AR Fox and Sami Callihan.

Sapolsky, 43, has been in the wrestling industry dating back to his time writing company newsletters for Extreme Championship Wrestling. In 2002, he co-founded Ring of Honor and served as the promotion's head booker until late 2008. He also served as vice-president of Dragon Gate USA before co-founding EVOLVE.

Under Sapolsky's guideance, EVOLVE has become one of the premier promotions in professional wrestling, serving as a launching pad to the greatest heights of the wrestling world.

WWN President and FIP founder Sal Hamaoui said he expects the promotion to follow suit.
