Jinder Mahal returning to WWE

In addition to Paul Heyman's return on Raw tonight, another familiar face is scheduled to be at the tapings.

Dave Meltzer has confirmed that Raj Singh Desi, better known as Jinder Mahal, is scheduled to start back with WWE at tonight's Raw tapings. It's not clear if he will be on the show, but he is booked to be in Atlanta today.

Mahal is just the latest wrestler from a previous era returning to add depth with the newfound need to fill both Raw and SmackDown rosters in the post-draft era.

Rhyno made his main roster return last Tuesday on SmackDown, and it was also announced that Shelton Benjamin will soon be returning as a member of the SmackDown roster.

Mahal last competed for WWE as a member of the Three Man Band stable alongside Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre. He was released in 2014 as part of a round of roster cuts.

Seriously. Why bring back a jobber? And even worse: why pretend we're supposed to be excited by this. If you want some Indians, sign those Bollywood Boys guys from the Cruiserweight Classic. The tag team division could use the help, plus they're younger, better in the ring, and not tainted by the stench of an entire career spent as a jobber.

If they want any of the guys from 3MB, get McIntyre. He's light years ahead of them IMO (I know he has some success elsewhere so that probably won't happen, but a girl can hope).
