We’ve noted for months how there’s been talk of The Fabulous Freebirds going into the WWE Hall of Fame this year in Dallas. It looks like the group will be going in but there’s been a lot of talk about whether or not Jimmy Garvin will be going in with Michael “PS” Hayes, Buddy Roberts and Terry Gordy. Word is that Garvin will also be inducted, thanks to Hayes.

Another name rumored for this year’s Hall of Fame class former WWE, WCW, NJPW, All Japan, AWA and NWA star Stan Hansen.

Former World Heavyweight Champion Vader indicated on Twitter a few weeks back that he may be inducted but we’ve heard nothing like that coming out of WWE.

One possible name who hasn’t been reported is current announcer JBL. He’s not a lock for this year’s class but there are people within WWE who would not be surprised to see JBL inducted this year.

As noted, Sting will be this year’s headliner.

I'd do Motorhead as a whole, but yeah. They've deserved it anyway, but Lemmy's unfortunate Death makes this the perfect time to do it. It's not like they have any other really deserving celebrities, either. Plus, with all of the political power of both Hunter and Jericho able to push for it, there no way it doesn't happen.

Lemmy and Motörhead have to be a sure thing. They were regularly involved with WWE providing three Triple H & Evolution theme songs, 2 live performances and being in the crowd a bunch of times and backstage more often than that. They've actually contributed quite decently to WWE. Which more than can be said than a couple of celebrities that have gone before them.

JBL is probably quite deserving. Former World Champion, and has been with WWE through his various incantations.

Free birds are also deserving. They've given to modern wrestling (as has Michael Hayes rather hugely).

Can't fault the Stan Hansen nod either.

I was never a Vader fan, but I can see why he'd make it.

This would be a good solid hall of fame with Sting being inducted as headliner (most likely by long time rival and friend Ric Flair)

similar to Taker and the Rock, they'll hold her off until they can't get any more matches out of her

Really? You guys are surprised that the Big Boss Man and Bam Bam Bigelow aren't in the WWE HOF?

Don't be dickwads, lol. Bossman deserves to be in! He was a consistant midcarder WWE and WCW throughout the 90s.
Koko B Ware is in the hall of fame, Boss man should be.

Bam Bam Headlined a Wrestlemania and won titles in both WCW and ECW. Who the hell is left that deserves to be in over these guys?

Except that at that point, anyone can get in. I think Koko's induction should be looked at as an aberration and completely ignored for the purposes of arguments about who deserves to be in.

Even when not thinking about titles and main events, both Bossman and Bigelow were iconic heels from the 80's and 90's. When i think old school WWF, blue shirt Bossman will always be there.

Bam Bam only headlined Mania because he was a big dude and was expendable because WWE wanted to put LT over.

As for who else should go in first?
Luger
Christian
Vader
Stan Hansen
Rock N' Roll Express
Midnight Express
Aja Kong
Bull Nakano
The Jumping Bomb Angels (or at least just Tateno)
Sid
Heyman
Kevin Sullivan
Santo
Blue Demon (might be a political issue)
Canek
Dos Caras
Big Daddy (would be perfect a London Mania)
Johnny Saint
RVD (debatable)
Rey Mysterio (obviously a political issue)

Also, Cornette and Shane Douglas, but neither of those will happen due to heat.

Vader and Stan Hansen are likely going in this year already.

Santo, Demon, Canek, Caras, Big Daddy, Saint, they all deserve it, but their work is pretty irrelevant in WWF/E, so these guys are just filler IMO

Rey, RVD, Heyman are not going in until retired.

Kong and Nakano, yes, but since they only do 1 woman per year, they're not as relevant as Ivory or Jaqueline or Sable. JBA i don't think they'll ever make it in.

Midnight and Rock n Roll Express surely deserve it, but they take the tag team spot, this year belongs to the freebirds, surely theyll get in soon

from what's left, I wouldn't say that Sullivan, Luger, or Sid deserve it more or less than Bigelow or Bossman, to me they're at the same level

Christian as singles I really don't see more important than all of these guys. Maybe the TNA HOF

I actually think that Nakano and Kong are more relevant that Ivory or Jacqueline (especially Jacqueline). Neither of those two had a long run in WWE or really did anything. Sable goes in if she's willing.
I think JBA make it in more if WWE needs to fill their quote of non-Amero/Canadians or women more than because WWE really wants to put them in.
Sullivan is a territorial big-name, and especially in territories like Florida and Georgia that WWE likes to talk up.
As for Luger and Sid, I think they are MUCH higher up on the totem pole than Bigelow or (especially) Bossman. Those were both guys that both WWF and WCW brought in to build the promotion around. Luger and Bigelow have six world titles between them, all in WWF or WCW. Bigelow and Bossman have just one, which was Bigelow's win in ECW.
