Update on AJ Styles’ Status for ROH Final Battle

As previously reported, AJ Styles has been dealing with a herniated disc and nerve pain in his lower back. The injury was causing so many problems that Styles had to be pulled form the NJPW World Tag League tournament, after forfeiting several matches. He has been rehabbing and was sent home early from that tour. According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Styles is currently planning to work the December 18th ROH Final Battle PPV as well as the TV tapings the next day. The word is that if for some reason Styles cannot go, Jay Lethal will defend the ROH Title against Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly.

They REALLY should have done something in Florida to set up for this possibility.

Also, if AJ is so injured, I'm not so sure it's a good idea he should work the tapings the day after, even if he wins the title and even if you stick him in a big tag team match.

i'm hating eveything about this, AJ is injured, the match is spoiled, i'm really lost right now with that whole match
