Report: Latest on Rey Mysterio trying to get back in the WWE and if the company wants him to return

Word going around is that Rey Mysterio still has not signed a contract with AAA to work Lucha Underground and with the future of that show still up in the air, Rey has reportedly put feelers out to see about a potential WWE return.

Rey has stated in recent interviews that he left the company on good terms and had nothing but positive things to say about them. It was noted that part of this is Rey doing some damage control for a potential return.

WWE has reportedly been cold on the idea of bringing him back, at least for right now. It’s possible they could bring him back eventually as their attempts to create a top Latin Superstar to replace Rey haven’t seen much success like they want.
