AAW, the Chicago-area independent promotion, announced Tuesday the untimely death of co-owner Jim Lynam.
AAW posted on their website: "The entire AAW family is shocked to learn of the sudden passing of AAW Co-Owner Jim Lynam. Our deepest condolences go out to Jim’s family and friends. More information to follow..."
WWE World Hvt. champion Seth Rollins tweeted: "Condolences to friends and family of @AAWOwner Jim Lynam. Thank you Jim for taking a shot on a couple of kids with a dream. #RIPJimLynam."
Former independent wrestler Jimmy Jacobs tweeted: "Sad to hear of the passing of @AAWPro co-owner Jim Lynam. Jim was a friend & somebody who believed in me. Thank you Jim."
AAW said they will continue with their scheduled show Sunday in Merrionette Park, Ill.
