VAMPIRO INTERVIEWS SUPERFLY- I liked it until the end when they just threw in chauvinistic dialogue. This feud should be concentrating on SHE TOOK MY MASK! MY IDENTITY! The match did a good job of that, but that one piece of dialogue at the end distracted from it. It’s just random sexism for cheap heat.


SEXY STAR vs. SUPERFLY- 4.5/10
Started off fine, but then all I could see was the fact that Sexy kept undershooting on her dives. Super Fly wins, then tries to rip Sexy’s mask off. She fights him off a bit, but he gets a good hold of her and… just pitches her to the outside and lets her go. I guess he must have randomly changed his mind and decided that he didn’t want revenge.

DRAGO TRAINS- he’s now hanging out on the roof instead of in his bathroom.

PENTAGON JR. WANTS VAMPIRO- good segment.

WINNER GETS AN AZTEC MEDALLION: Aerostar vs. Marty “The Moth” Martinez vs. The Mac vs. Cage- 6.5/10
A good match that never felt like it went anywhere. Aerostar seems like BY FAR the least interesting winner here. I was really hoping The Mac would pick up the win and use it to get revenge on Ryck and Cage.

ANGELICO, SON OF HAVOC, & IVELISSE TRAIING BACKSTAGE- they were having a great segment. Then Catrina showed up to sexually harass Ivelisse and use Mil Muertes’ special stone to summon those three masked minions, who then used electric punches to knock them all out. Then the three dudes disappeared, Mil Muertes appeared, and they walked off together.

WINNER BECOMES #1 CONTENDER TO THE LUCHA UNDERGROUND TITLE AT ULTIMA LUCHA: Drago vs. Mil Muertes (w/Catrina)- 5/10
Before the match, Hernandez showed up to beat the crap out of Drago, so I guess they’ll be facing off at Ultima Lucha. The match itself was quite disappointing. It was pretty low on good action and didn’t even give us something to make up for it like Mil murderizing Drago.


Not a great show or anything from Lucha Underground, but it did feel pretty big and did feel like it delivered a bit, so I’ll say it was good.

STUPID ANNOUNCER QUOTES:
1. Striker just referred to Marty “The Moth” Martinez, who is totally untrained, as a “world-class luchador.”

2. Striker- “Speed times mass equals force.”
Apparently “our teacher” Matt Striker didn’t pass high school science. Force equals mass times ACCELERATION.

I'm certain that they'll want to have some kind of unification match with all medalions at Ultima Lucha, so they wanna get all the flippy guys in, and Cage, Ryk, and Mac could surely have a better match going for UL

I'm thinking the same thing, but his minions winning the trios titles really just seems out of nowhere.
