The graphics for Best in the World look really awesome.

WILL FERRARA vs. KUSHIDA- 4.75/10
So the first match on ROH TV on Destination America is going to feature an ROH guy jobbing to a guy from another company? Oy. And following it up with a graphic advertising out of date events wasn’t good, either.
Ferrara tried, but no one bought that he had a snowball’s chance in hell of winning this match.

ADDICTION PROMO- I really don’t like that they’re doing their TNA schtick, but at least we know that reDRagon will be getting a tag title shot next week.

SILAS YOUNG vs. TAKAAKI WATANABE- 5/10
Good match. If Taka is staying around a bit, I’d have had Silas cheat to win to set up a final match between the two.

BJ WHITMER (w/The Decade) vs. MOOSE (w/Veda Scott & Stokely Hathaway)- SWERVE!
BJ makes COLBY face Moose instead!

COLBY CORINO (w/The Decade) vs. MOOSE (w/Veda Scott & Stokely Hathaway)- no rating. GREAT segment.
Moose totally murderizes Colby with powerbombs on the outside while Whitmer laughs and the announcers implore referee Gino Colucci to stop the match. This looked BRUTAL!

TRUTH MARTINI & LETHAL SEGMENT- Jay doesn’t want to wrestle in tonight’s main event. Truth has a plan.


THE BRISCOES vs. THE HOUSE OF TRUTH (w/Truth Martini & Jay Lethal)- 6/10
Good post-match segment.

This was a very unfortunate week for ROH to have to start on Destination America. This was not a show meant to introduce people to the product, it had a bait-and-switch main event, a lot of talent that probably won’t be seen again (i.e. the New Japan guys) early on, and perhaps worst of all, there were no “Ring of Honor quality” matches. That being said, the simplicity of a lot of the angles helps a lot, but it still might be hard for new fans to get into.
That being said, for a long-time fan, there is some REALLY cool about finally being able to watch ROH on my TV in HD.

ROH seems to have a lot more advertisers than TNA.
