Jay Briscoe is on commentary... for the whole show. I'm afraid.
At least they have a reason for it (all three of Jay's challengers at the 13th Anniversary Show will be wrestling tonight.
JIMMY JACOBS vs. TOMMASO CIAMPA- 5.75/10
Jay and Ciampa had a tense stardown with Ciampa grabbing a chair and Jay offering to go right now. Jacobs tried to take advantage of this distraction to start the match by diving on Cimpa, but Ciampa saw it coming and threw the chair at Jacobs, who got hit in the head. They brawled on the outside for a bit before the match officially started. The match was great for the time it got.
HANSON vs. THE ROMANTIC TOUCH (w/two hot valets)- squash.
RT cut a funny inset promo. It's Valentine's Day, and this is his day. Hanson squashed RT with one move. He also had a staredown with Jay, whose first comment was "We're gonna have to do this all night." That made me laugh.
MICHAEL ELGIN vs. MOOSE (w/the Embassy?)- 6.25/10
When they booked this match I thought it was a bad idea, not because of the quality of the action (which was good, although there was one spot where Moose's inexperience showed through), but because Moose is currently undefeated and Elgin is about to challenge for the world title, so how can you possibly do a finish that protects both guys, that won't get sh*t on like a double-count out would? Well... they found one, and it was pretty damn ingenious.
The Knights of the Dawn showed up to watch.
POST-MATCH SEGMENT- GREAT build for the ROH World Title match at the 13th Anniversary Show as well as the Mark Briscoe vs. Moose match at that same show.
THE YOUNG BUCKS PUSH MERCH- AWESOME!
ALBERTO EL PATRON VS. JAY LETHAL VIDEO PACKAGE- good.
ACH, MATT SYDAL, & CEDRIC ALEXANDER vs. THE BULLET CLUB (AJ Styles & The Young Bucks)- 9/10
FANTASTIC! Probably the best match ever taped for ROH TV, but I'm certain off the top of my head.
This was like one of those PWG six-mans, except that the moves actually meant something and they paid attention to the rules of tag team wrestling.
An AWESOME episode of ROH!

you can say whatever you want about the booking in PWG, but moves do mean something in PWGBig Red Machine wrote:

Not really. Everyone just does moves and that's all it is. With a very few exceptions (mostly Candice) everyone just takes turns doing spots, then sells until it's time for their next spot.cero2k wrote:you can say whatever you want about the booking in PWG, but moves do mean something in PWGBig Red Machine wrote:
