IVELISSE PROMO- AWESOME! Here is a HEEL, acting like a real person, taking offense when her significant other is being insulted. Also, this team just works a lot better when Ivelisse talks and Son of Havoc just stands in the background and looks intimidating with his mask and beard.

ANGELICO vs. SON OF HAVOC (w/Ivelisse)- 7/10
A great, athletic match, a great showcase for Angelico, and possibly the beginning of a split between Son of Havoc and Ivelisse.
Vampiro says that he doesn’t like cockiness “in any place, in any sport.”

JOHNNY MUNDO & DARIO CUETO IN CUETO’S OFFICE- great. Also, we learn that the main event will be Johnny Mundo vs. Cage.

PENTAGON JR. VIDEO PACKAGE- awesome

PENTAGON JR. vs. FAMOUS B- no rating. Good squash… but I’m confused. If he’s supposed to be a babyface, why are they pushing him as a sadist?

PENTAGON JR. PROMO- who is this master? Well gang: it looks like we’ve got a mystery on our hands.

DARIO CUETO TALKS TO THE GUY IN THE CAGE- it turns out that this is Matanza, and he is the one who Angela Fong is after. Angela’s name here is apparently “Black Lotus,” and I am giving you all fair warning that I will not hesitate to make any MTG-related puns that this name allows me to make.
Cueto threatens to give him over to her, but he says he won’t do that because he needs Matanza to protect his temple. They ended this with a shadow of Matanza looking very scary and muscular, and just based on that and the fact that he clearly isn’t Cage, my assumption is that he must be Shawn Hernandez.

DRAGO vs. AERO STAR- 4/10
The match was short, but full of cool flippy moves, and Dragon won, so I’m happy.
Striker and Vampiro buried every other wrestling company in the world by saying that Lucha Underground was the only place that the fans actually pay attention to the action in the ring. Dicks. After burying every other company, Striker refers to Chris Jericho’s “Codebreaker” finisher as well as ROH’s Code of Honor. F*ck you, Striker.

CATRINA COMES UPON FENIX TRAINING- ah yes, the good old-fashioned “Maxine shows up and licks someone” segment.
Wait… no! It’s not one of those at all! Instead, she makes out with him and tells him to not tell Mil Muertes about it. Don’t tell the big scary force of nature that I made out with his girlfriend? Yeah. That doesn’t seem so hard to do.
She also seems rather enamored with the tattoo on his chest. I think it might have some sort of anti-Mil Muertes power.

JOHNNY MUNDO vs. CAGE- 7.5/10
Cage is carrying both halves of the Lucha Underground Championship with him. That’s a cool visual that I wasn’t expecting.
The match was pretty good, but it was obvious that they were holding a lot back because they were going to a DQ. King Cuerno snuck down to ringside (despite the bright spotlight on him, which was unintentionally hilarious) and attacked Johnny for the DQ, which protects both guys from having to eat the pin, and gives Mundo a new feud, so good booking there. It just would have been a bit better if it wasn’t the main event.
Or not. Cueto doesn’t want a DQ finish, so he orders the match re-started. Conveniently, this happened AFTER Cuerno hit Johnny in the leg with a chair. They go a few minutes with some good selling by Johnny, a good false finish or two, and an AWESOME counter of Weapon X into a Code Red before Cage picks up the win. This way, Cage gets to actually win, but Mundo is still protected.

DARIO CUETO MAKES A FRANTIC PHONE CALL IN HIS OFFICE- Black Lotus is on to them! She know that they have Matanza! But who is he talking to? More mysteries!
Also, ALBERTO DEL RIO SHOWS UP!

1. Vampiro said it was “nice to see” the crowd getting behind the heel Son of Havoc. He gave no explanation for why. Just said it was good that the fans were cheering for a scumbag.
