For those that didn't know, I've been participating in a podcast called the "mid week war", where some other dudes and myself do a quick run through the main midweek wrestling shows. We usually just point out what we consider the good part of the show, the bad part, and what would we change from the show. The shows covered are NXT, LU, and Smackdown, but since i don't watch Smackdown, i'll replace it with ROH for this reviews.
NXT
Good: The good of the week goes to the Kidd/Neville match, just a great match.
Bad: The bad of the show goes to the Dempsey/Corbin match, repeat from 2 weeks ago, and it further buries Dempsey.
Change: I'm ok with putting the title on the new tag team, but at least give them a name and a bit more introduction before doing the change.
Lucha Underground
Good: The ending, from Cage beating up Puma, beating up Konnan, and tearing up the title. It really got me hyped to watch the next episode and see not only the reaction of Puma and Konnan, but Dario and Cage too.
Bad: Not necessarily bad, but the initial match. I don't think they should had given Muertes a somewhat clean pin fall loss here. But i guess that if it was going to happen, Fenix is a good guy to give it too since he's been building up a lot.
Change: it's a long time coming, get Vampiro off the announcers table and make him a full face manager to counter the impending betrayal and heel turn of Konnan.
Ring Of Honor
Good: weird to say this, but Maria Kanellis and the Kingdom, they were amazing in the opening segment, Maria particularly. The more i see of them, the more i like them, even third wheel Matt Taven.
Bad: Top Prospect Match. It wasn't a trainwreck, and it told a basic story, but I wish i had just skipped it. I liked the the Beer City Bruiser character, but I don't wanna see him back in ROH, nor I care about Mikey Webb at this point.
Change: I liked the Daniels/Patron match a lot, but I would have changed a little bit of the dynamics in the match. Alberto on some occasions was doing some heelish things, that could easily pass as 'being aggressive', but i felt it was a bit off character for someone that is coming in as a super baby face.
Promotion of the Week: NXT felt like a repeat from last week's show, and ROH felt like a one match show. Promotion of the week is going to Lucha Underground, being that it delivered both in and outside the ring, shock value, and 'bad' part of it wasn't that bad at all.
MVP of the Week: He's a Machine. Cage. Good match, cool cheesy vignette, and he tore apart of freaking title!!

I don't think Konnan turning heel will happen anywhere near as quickly as you think. He's so good in his current role that a change would be a shame.cero2k wrote:
