REGAL MAKES SOME ANNOUNCEMENTS- all good
1. The next Takeover special will take place on Feb. 11
2. A #1 contendership tournament will start tonight
3. Because Sasha pinned Charlotte last week, Sasha will get a title shot tonight.


OPENING SEGEMENT- AWESOME. Both Regal and Sami deserve a lot of credit. The result of this is Zayn vs. Owens non-title at the Takeover special.

#1 CONTENDERSHIP TOURNAMENT FIRST-ROUND MATCH: Curtis Axel vs. Finn Balor- 6/10

DEVIN TAYLOR INTERVIEWS SASHA BANKS- Sasha shushed Devin midway through her sentence, but to be fair, she did so after Devin had said the words “your thoughts” and those are usually the words that Devin ends all of her sentences with. Sasha’s promo was eh.

TOTAL DIVAS COMMERCIAL- Rosa and Paige do a lesbian kiss angle because the show is desperate.

BULL DEMPSEY PROMO- good hype for next week.

NXT WOMEN’S TITLE MATCH: Charlotte(c) vs. Sasha Banks (w/Becky Lynch)- 0.5/10
Random filler until a dumb DQ, but at least these two still brought the hate.
Charlotte gets double-teamed until the heels run away from an un-armed Bayley.
NO! Put that down right now! The NXT Women’s Championship is not a toy, Bayley! It’s for grown-ups.
So Charlotte takes her belt back, but Bayley gets angry and hits her with a Hug-plex, essentially throwing a temper tantrum, just like a child would.
Regal came out and announced a title match for the Takeover special between Charlotte, Sasha, and two women who haven’t done anything to deserve it.

Oh… and Tensai was WRETCHED on commentary.

SOME GUY INTERVIEWS KEVIN OWENS- he says that anything he has to say to Sami Zayn he’ll tell him next week at the contract signing.

THE VAUDVILLANS vs. BUDDY MURPHY & WESLEY BLAKE- 2.5/10

TYLER BREEZE PROMO- he said that becoming NXT Champion is the first step to implementing his plan to segregate society into pretty people and uggos.

BLAKE & MURPHY PROMO- bad. They just come off as lame. Also, they are challenging the tag champs after just one win.

#1 CONTENDERSHIP TOURNAMENT FIRST-ROUND MATCH: Hideo Itami vs. Tyler Breeze- 7.25/10
Great for a ten minute match, and HOLY SH*T was Itami’s firing-up spot awesome!
