JAY BRISCOE PROMO- short, but it build for the main event, and confirmed to us who he would be defending the title against: Matt Taven.

CEDRIC ALEXANDER vs. FRANKIE KAZARIAN (w/Christopher Daniels)- 6.75/10
Good stuff, but I really didn't like Cedric popping up to his feet right after eating that big powerbomb. Kaz looked great.

MATT TAVEN PROMO- okay

2015 TOP PROSPECT TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND MATCH: Jake Dirden vs. Donovan Dijak- 4.75/10
The backstory on Dirden is that he was dismissed from an ROH tryout camp because he kept hurting people. Okay... isn't that the point of doing wrestling moves? To hurt your opponent so that you can pin him and win the match? He is also a big hairy guy who uses the Asiatic Spike as his finisher, which annoys me. He's got a great chokeslam, why not use that as his finisher. Or anything less goofy than an Asiatic Spike?
Dijak looked very good here, and he won the match with what I can only describe as a Burning Go To Sleep.
The Decade came out to watch the match.

WEIRD STUFF HAPPENS- first we got a CHIKARA commercial. This even aired on the ROH website, as if it was one of those Jay Lethal "Health Alert Hotline" bumper commercials.
Then it got weirder.
Something "interrupted the feed" and we saw a silhouette of a man with a distorted voice watching ROH and declaring that "We are coming. We have been watching you. We are coming and we are bringing change with us." This was very weird, and VERY un-ROH. I did not like it.

KEVIN KELLY INTERVIEWS ALBERTO EL PATRON- GREAT segment.
HUGE pop for Alberto. He seems thrilled to be here, too. He put ROH over and cut a bit of a "I'm a wrestler, not a sports entertainer" promo. He said he wanted to win the ROH World Title and called out Jay Briscoe, but Jay Lethal Truth Martini showed up instead. Jay said that the TV Title was the most important title and that he was the best wrestler in ROH, so Del Rio should want to come after him. Del Rio was ready to rumble, but Truth told him that he he wanted to wrestle Lethal, he'd have to work his way up the ladder, first. The crowd was completely bonkers for Alberto throughout the whole thing.

NIGEL MCGUINNESS ANNOUNCES A #1 CONTENDER- he calls out Jay Briscoe, who says that he wants to defend the title against all three guys from last week's match in a Four Corner Survival match.

ROH WORLD TITLE MATCH: Jay Briscoe(c) vs. Matt Taven (w/Michael Bennett & Maria Kanellis)- 6/10
A decent match, not the standard I expect from ROH main events. It was really just a long segment to set up Bennett clobbering Jay with the Title of Love (so why not just do a DQ so you don't have to job Taven out?) so Maria could tell Jay that he would never get the Title of Love back because he wouldn't fight a girl. Mark Briscoe came out with a chair and chases the heels off, then make a challenge for some sort of match, but I couldn't understand what he said because... you know... Mark Briscoe.

A decent show from ROH. Make sure you see the Alberto El Patron/Jay Lethal segment, though. That was really great stuff.
