Yeah. Because THIS is what they should be spending their time on.

I don't think time is being wasted here, you just tell a designer to do something, designer does it, half an hour meeting to see options, and choose one.Big Red Machine wrote:Yeah. Because THIS is what they should be spending their time on.

Re: New TNA Logo Revealed
It's not the thing that needs to change, though, and TNA has often had this ridiculous idea in their head that they can change something like the logo or the timeslot or the name of the show and all of a sudden people will start watching it again, while completely ignoring that the real problem is the product.cero2k wrote:I don't think time is being wasted here, you just tell a designer to do something, designer does it, half an hour meeting to see options, and choose one.Big Red Machine wrote:Yeah. Re: New TNA Logo Revealed
true, but this is not just a small change they're doing, they're doing a whole relaunch, new logo, new commentary, new network, whether they change their real problem or not (which i hope that this was a real wake up call), it doesn't hurt on re branding a little bit. Like I said, the time and money used to make this is diminutive in comparison to the effort they need to make on the rest, it doesn't hurt, hell, it's creating buzz again.Big Red Machine wrote:It's not the thing that needs to change, though, and TNA has often had this ridiculous idea in their head that they can change something like the logo or the timeslot or the name of the show and all of a sudden people will start watching it again, while completely ignoring that the real problem is the product.cero2k wrote:I don't think time is being wasted here, you just tell a designer to do something, designer does it, half an hour meeting to see options, and choose one.Big Red Machine wrote:Yeah. Except that it's not a relaunch. It's just them doing the show somewhere else. In reality, nothing changes unless they change the booking, and they have failed to understand this many times before. You are right about the logo not being a big drain on resources (or even a bad idea), but it is impossible for me to get excited about TNA at this point.cero2k wrote:true, but this is not just a small change they're doing, they're doing a whole relaunch, new logo, new commentary, new network, whether they change their real problem or not (which i hope that this was a real wake up call), it doesn't hurt on re branding a little bit. may not be a relaunch per say, but it's a big change from what everyone was accustomed to, they should threat it like the biggest thing int the world.Big Red Machine wrote: Except that it's not a relaunch. and if 2014 was an indication of what 2015 TNA will be, then i'm super psyched, you know that i've found it so much better than WWE overall.
Re: New TNA Logo Revealed
Absolutely this. Bigger than Hogan coming. They need to completely sell every little change they make.cero2k wrote:may not be a relaunch per say, but it's a big change from what everyone was accustomed to, they should threat it like the biggest thing int the world.Big Red Machine wrote: Except that it's not a relaunch. Who's to say this isn't a reboot? Like Cero said, new logo, new announcers, new set. They haven't had a show in, how long? It'd be such a TNA-thing to do to start off where they left off on Spike.
The thing to do would be to play a montage of terrible things that happened in TNA over the last 5 years, fade and zoom out to a shot of Taz standing over Mike Tenay while he lays on life support, while the montage continues in a fuzzy bubble over Tenay's head. You hear the flat line noise as Josh Mathews enters the shot holding a plug in his hand. "C'mon Taz, time to go to work." says Josh. Cut to the Opening, TNA starts fresh and nobody ever speaks of Josh Mathews murdering Mike Tenay.

i'm down for this. one year from now, Don West returns to investigate Tenay's death and it all lnks to Joe's kidnapping ninjasBob-O wrote: The thing to do would be to play a montage of terrible things that happened in TNA over the last 5 years, fade and zoom out to a shot of Taz standing over Mike Tenay while he lays on life support, while the montage continues in a fuzzy bubble over Tenay's head.
