TNA Possibly Bringing Back The 6 Sided Ring

Post by Bulletclubfan2014 » Jun 18th, '14, 17:56

TNA Recently decided to let the fans decide whether they should bring back the 6 Sided Ring what's ur opinion on this?
My opinion: 6 sides is more easy to get hurt than 4 sides due to the odd angles 6 sides has and given u risk ur life as a wrestler just stepping in the ring is dangerous they don't need it to be anymore risky

Agreed. I think Aries said it perfectly when he said that the choice should be up to the people who are actually putting their bodies on the line. Not the fans, and not management.

Also in Mexico the reason they don't have problems with it is cuz they train the wrestlers not to land flat backed on the ring and roll thru it instead of taking a bump which is how they teach u to take a move in the US

i'm torn between the two, i want to side with Aries and ECIII that they should look out for their wrestler's health, but at the same time, TNA needs these changes, those changes that once made the unique in the eyes of the fans. Will this save TNA? no it won't but i think their mentality is in the right direction

I agree.

As with any consumer based job, the employees will have their opinions on how things should run. Sometimes they have good ideas, sometimes they have bad ideas, but more often than not whatever that idea may be will be convenient to them before it appeals to the customer.

While keeping the staff happy is very important, and I don't want this to sound like A Double and EC3 don't care about entertaining the fans, this is a customer driven business. In the end, if the customers want the 6-sided ring they should get the 6-sided ring whether The Boys like it or not. They'll get used to it or can find another way on to national television. I don't think there's anyone left on the roster that would be "crushing blow" if they chose to depart.

I mean, already, this has generated the most buzz for TNA since they signed Hogan. I've seen this story mentioned by more people, in more places... by folks I didn't even know were wrestling fans! And, it's all POSITIVE discussion! I think it was badnewz in the other thread that thought it was a silly reason, but he'd be tuning in. It is silly. But, I'll be tuning in as well. They'll blow it, but I'll give them another chance - as I'm sure will be the same for many many more. The shape of the fucking ring.

Sorry Aries. I don't know what to tell you. Learn how to land?

Sean Waltman has also come out majorly against this.

Yeah, I saw that. All I'm hearing is whiney employees that don't care to be inconvenienced by what the fans want to see. Well, not even an employee in this case, the guy that made a porno with Chyna. His opinions on what people want to see are by default invalid. Actually, its pretty safe for them to go ahead with it now by, what I like to call, "X-Pac Logic".

What do they stand to gain by NOT doing it at this point?

Also, I'm wondering if anyone recalls if this was an issue the first time around? I don't remember giant sighs of relief when Hogan had them go back to 4 sides, but was there grumbling when they initially switched?
