ROH Southern Defiance Review:
This is part of a double DVD set called Battle in the Carolinas I will review the other show (Northern Agression at a later date)
Adam Cole vs Mike Bennett: **3/4 Fun opener going into this I hadn't really seen anything good from Bennett outside of his match with Lethal at Best In The World but this match showed me that Bennett had potential to be a big name if he kept improving in the ring and working hard like he did here
Bravados promo: The Bravados say they've been told they need to win another match soon or they may get fired they promise victory in there tag match (which they did) and 1 of them would win the Honor Rumble later (they didn't)

Bravado Brothers (Harlem and Lancelot) vs Los Ben Dejos (Jay Rios and Eddie Cruz: **1/4 Probably the best match you can get from a 5 minute match between a Jobber To The Stars Tag Team and an Enhancement Talent Tag Team

Proving Ground Match ROH TV Champion Jay Lethal vs TJ Perkins
If TJ defeats Jay Lethal or lasts the 15 minute time limit he gets a future TV Title shot: ***1/4 Very fun fast paced match This kind of had a feeling of an undercard X Division match from 05 (minus the dives to the outside) TJ looked good in defeat and they had some really cool looking sequences and counters for each others moves

All Night Xpress (Kenny King and Rhett Titus) vs The Young Bucks( Matt and Nick Jackson): *** Given Rhett had a knee injury at the time and couldn't work that well this was pretty good the Bucks focused on Titus' leg all match and that directly led to the finish so I'll give them props for great storytelling

Briscoe Brothers Promo: GREAT Jay's angry about what C&C (Who they refer to as Boomkiesha and Shaniqua) posted on Twitter and tells Mark who asks "What's a Twitter" (Which is funny cuz they were wearing shirts advertising there Twitter Page) and Jay mentions the computer and Mark thinks it's like the new Myspace Jay shows a picture of the Bushwackers and that C&C compared to Papa Briscoe so they go on a rant about how they can't talk about there dad like that and imply Grizzly Redwood is dead Bushwackers are good friends of the family there dad's the great chicken farmer of all time and the chicken Breasts are dark meat Check this out it's a great promo
The Briscoe Brothers (Jay and Mark) vs C&C Wrestle Factory (Caprice Coleman and Cedric Alexander):*** Good match C&C were a new tag team in ROH at the time and The Briscoe's had a Tag Title match in 3 weeks against Haas & Benjamin so the result was never in doubt but C&C had a few nice spots and looked like a competent fight for the greatest team in Indy Wrestling history (and my personal favorite team of all time)

Proving Ground Match ROH World Tag Team Champions Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin) vs The House Of Truth (Roderick Strong and Michael Elgin)
If the HOT wins or lasts the 20 Minute Time Limit they get a future ROH World Tag Title shot: ***1/4 Good match the story was Shelton had injured ribs going into the match so Elgin and strong worked over his back and ribs all match until Shelton got the hot tag and they were eventually able to win with a pretty impressive finish

Eddie Edwards vs El Generico: **** Great Match they were pretty even throughout the match and both hit each other with most of there arsenal

20 Man Honor Rumble: ** I have a hard time paying attention to multiple things at once and that includes battle royals where guys are fighting in multiple different areas of the ring so I couldn't enjoy this but since every time an entrant came in and the guy he was feuding with was already in the ring they started fighting I'll give them a 2 star rating

Overall rating: This is for both shows 7/10 both shows have some good matches where everything that u thought would be good was good and most of the stuff that didn't look interesting was at least good so I'll give the 2 show bundle Battle In The Carolinas a thumbs up
