Top Guys Facing Off for a Midcard Title

There has been a lot of talk over the past decade or so about how little the midcard titles in WWE mean. Do you guys think that having two top guys face off for a midcard title would help elevate the title? Or would it hurt the guys in question?

It all depends on how you handle the situation.

When Punk, Jericho, Rey rey went to challenge for the IC title it hurt them, because you know they got pushed down so Cena and Batista could main event.

But remember how dx and rated rko feuded for the tag titles? They were not brought down to the title, but the title was elevated to the main event.
