When asked to explain the infamous angle where Ric Flair was left for dead and buried in a desert and then why he later just showed up again without it ever being mentioned again, Russo explains why he felt that he needed to take Flair off of TV... but never once does he consider that perhaps everyone's issue with his decision was not the fact that he decided to take Flair off of TV, but the fact that the thought it would be a good idea to BURY A MAN ALIVE IN THE DESERT... and then to NOT FOLLOW UP ON IT AT ALL! It's like it never even crossed his mind that you could just have him get assaulted and beaten bloody. Nope. Burying him in the desert was definitely the way to go in Russo's mind. WHAT A MORON!

Re: Just how stupid is Vince Russo?
I think he was just doing his usual "I remember this random thing that happened in the 80's that no one else remembers so I'll do it again for nostalgia....although no one friggin remembers what the hell I'm talking about." There was an instance in the 80's where the Horsemen beat up Dusty Rhodes and left him out in the desert (I think they show it on that Four Horsemen DVD). Of course, Russo can't progress an angle (or really do anything at all) without trying to be controversial so he has them "bury" him. either way, talk about abusing an idea; how many "abduction" angles has Russo come up with? Wasn't Joe AND Sting abducted at certain points when Russo wrote TNA?
