Punk is right now the only feud or storyline that is completely independent from the McMahon Enterprise storyline, he's been feuding with Heyman since MITB, but with Lesnar out until WM, how much longer can this feud really continue, right? question is, once Punk is done with Heyman, what's next for Punk? does he inject himself into the McMahon storyline ? he would need to be a face in this case since he's not corporate either, but would likely steal a lot of Dragon's thunder....and then theres Cena.
what do you think, how does the Punk/Heyman feud end? what's next for both men?
What's Next For Punk?
Re: What's Next For Punk?
That's a tough one...
I don't see the Punk/Heyman thing finishing up any time soon. Supposedly, Heyman's bringing in a new "guy", and they've got some work to do to get us to forget about Punk's loss to Lesnar. Lesnar won't be back until Wrestlemania season, and of the matches being tossed around, Punk isn't one of them, so we'll say Punk beats a Heyman Guy in a Heyman Leaves Town match.
I'm thinking they stretch this out until Royal Rumble. Seems like forever, but I'll trust them to keep it fresh.
From there, I could see him getting inserted into the Corporate angle. Everyone is drooling over face Punk vs heel Orton n Friends for the title, and I think Wrestlemania would be a good stage for that. Cena will be returning around that time, and they could easily rematch Cena vs Bryan as long as Bryan stays hot.
As the rumors have it, the whole Corporate angle is supposed to build to a Wrestlemania match where Vince has "a guy" in a match where the company is on the line. Austin's name was mentioned, but I say it winds up being Punk. Kind of like when Vince brought in the NWO, he turns to somebody that he knows has gotten the job done before (and he's already sworn Cena off), going back to when Punk left with the title. Punk's WWE career has been spent trying to prove his worth to Vince, and to land the Main Event of Wrestlemania. Punk hates Vince less than he hates Triple H, so he agrees to help. Punk vs Orton in the Main Event of Wrestlemania with Triple H and Vince at ringside, for control of the company and the WWE Title. I'd watch it.
I also love the idea of Vince/Punk Odd Couple moments.

rumors i've read is that the WM match is supposed to be Vince's guy vs Triple H, where Vince wants to get The Rock, which i doubt he'll get. Austin, HBK, and Cena had been the other names I've heard.Bob-O wrote:That's a tough one...

Maybe, with Brock interfering to end it shortly after to get the belt on another heel.cero2k wrote:rumors i've read is that the WM match is supposed to be Vince's guy vs Triple H, where Vince wants to get The Rock, which i doubt he'll get. Re: What's Next For Punk?
I don't wanna make another topic for this. but given what happened on RAW, Hunter antagonizing Paul Heyman, how do you think that Heyman could get involved in the Business' storyline?
also, one Bray Wyatt twitted this, another outside force that could end up getting involved?
