BNXL is officially LEAVING his cable provider

Post by badnewzxl » Jul 8th, '13, 22:13

to Time Warner Cable:

After weeks of anticipation, I'd like to thank you for RUINING the debut of the Wyatt Family for me. When I set the DVR Series Recording for Monday Night Raw, I didn't anticipate you deciding to split the listing so my DVR would record only the first two hours; touche. You really got me. You got me so good, that I was still watching the Sin Cara/ADR match when I looked up at the cable box and noticed it was 10:30 and the recorder was off. And, of course, at the very moment, the Wyatt's are done wrecking shit and just being crazy now; fantastic.

It's only been a month since you took over my local cable provider and you've managed to make me LITERALLY rip my hair out, my internet is suddenly slow as hell, the OnDemand feature has been re-organized (disorganized) in an absolutely nonsensical way, the OnDemand also manages to stop playing whatever I'm trying to play 90secs in and just go black, and the programs I set to DVR get screwed up bc a) you decide to split it up one week, but not another; b) your crappy system only goes by the hour or half-hour or quarter-hour, even if the program is listed at an odd time; or c) your system just shits it's brains out and just doesn't record when it's supposed to.

So I will def be finding a new means of enjoying one of my few pleasures in life; Time Warner is GARBAGE! They've convinced me of this in just ONE MONTH!

That sucks man.

For what it's worth, I've had Dish Network for four years and no complaints yet. Along with Verizon DSL, the combined cost is $10 - $15 a month cheaper.

I'm thinking of switching to this other company that bundles internet with Dish Network; it's gotta be better than this. I mean, splitting a show into two parts is just a fake out; esp when you don't do it on a consistent enough basis for your customers to adapt accordingly....
