BRM Reviews the 4/13/2013 ROH

OPENING SEGMENT- Jay gives the traditional new champion's speech, surrounded by the whole roster, but Adam Cole interrupts him and says he will take the belt at Border Wars. Short and sweet, but it started the hype for Border Wars, which is important. Cole came off like kind of a douche, though.

BOBBY FISH PROMO- good

EDDIE EDWARDS PROMOS- the one hyping up the BOAH guys was okay. The one hyping up tonight's main event was a bit better, but not much.

EDDIE EDWARDS (w/Davey Richards) vs. BOBBY FISH (w/Kyle O'Reilly)- 7.25/10

R.D. EVANS & Q.T. MARSHALL vs. ALABAMA ATTITUDE- 4.5/10
Fun match. Marshall is upset that R.D. stole his pin.

DAVEY RICHARDS PROMO- Davey hypes up his match for Border Wars against Marufuji. I think that saying he was going to send Marufuji back to Japan in a box was a bit over the top.

PRE-MATCH SEGMENT- Mondo comes out for the main event, but then Roddy comes out and asks why a loser like Mondo is getting this oppportunity when Roddy isn't. I have to agree with Roddy on this point. Roddy then says that Mondo doesn't have what it takes to make it in ROH. I also agree with Roddy there. Mondo obviously takes offense to this and they have a short brawl.

FIVE WAY SCRAMBLE FOR AN ROH TV TITLE SHOT AT BORDER WARS: "No Fear" Mike Mondo vs. Mark Briscoe vs. Caprice Coleman vs. Cedric Alexander vs.BJ Whitmer- 5.75/10
Not good enough for a main event. I think this really could have benefited from the time they used for the Roddy-Mondo segment, and they could have achieved the same goal by having Roddy do commentary for this match.

Overall, a pretty good episode of ROH, although the main event was extremely disappointing,
