WWE Talking Smack Cancelled

Post by cero2k » Jul 14th, '17, 11:37

Source: pwinsider.com

WWE has canceled Talking Smack as a weekly series, multiple sources have confirmed with PWInsider.com.

This past Tuesday's episode was its final episode on the WWE Network.

The series featured a lot of great character and promo work from different Smackdown roster performers including Kevin Owens and Alexa Bliss as well as Daniel Bryan and Renee Young doing a great job hosting.

The current plan, we are told, is to use Talking Smack exclusively as a post-PPV broadcast.

Ok, sure. Great idea as always.

So we'll sh*t-can the thing that is actually working and people love. That's a good strategy. If you want to save money then just cut out the dumb sh*t on the Network that no one watches anyway like Swerved.

it sucks because it was really helping some guys get more character out and develop their mic skills while not fucking up in front of the crowd.

Stupid decision. The Miz became a more relatable character thanks to this show and many other great moments and improved characteristic have come out of this show. Surely it cannot cost much to produce. It's done after Smackdown. So you've already got camera crews and staff. You've already got a set and you've always got willing talent.

Where's the costs that are too high?

Part of me is beginning to suspect that perhaps Renee Young is pregnant (it would also explain her and Dean's rather rushed marriage after years of feeling such a thing was unnecessary), but even if that is the case, then Charly Caruso or Tom Phillips would have been perfectly acceptable replacement rather than an over the hill, incompetent embarrassment like Lawler.

I'm a smark, I would have had Nigel and Dragon shit talking all the Smackdown roster, but I guess Caruso works too.

Crap. I totally forgot about Nigel. I would love a whole hour of Nigel bugging Bryan about trying to trade for Cesaro and asking him why he hasn't called Kassius Ohno, Roderick Strong, Bobby FIsh, Hideo Itami, and *SPOILER GUY* up yet.
