Long-time ROH Referee Brian Gorie Gone
Long-time ROH Referee Brian Gorie Gone
As per Meltzer, Brian Gorie gave ROH notice a couple weeks ago at the Pittsburgh TV taping. His reasoning was he has a new job, outside of wrestling, but also because he felt that he'd lost the love for wrestling and Ring of Honor. He is still going to work for local independents in Detroit, but is done with ROH.

Brian Gorie is a not a "long-time" ROH referee. He showd up at some point in, like, 2012, and no one noticed him for a year after that.

So you don't consider doing something for years "a long time."
I get that you're saying it's not ten plus or something, but come on.

When they come, they'll come at what you love.

Apparently he actually did work for them on and off fort thirteen years, which I will concede is a long time, but he was so non-notable I don't think I ever even heard his name until, like, 2012, so it doesn't feel like he was working there for very long at all.
But in general, in wrestling, I expect turnover every few years or so. It's once you start getting to seven or eight years that it starts to feel like it qualifies as a "long time."
