LIO RUSH vs. ACH- 5/10

Kevin Kelly needs to shut up with this “took WRESTLER X to the limit” bullsh*t. Nowhere in any of the matches he says this about did it ever feel like that was the case.
They showed footage of ACH saying he wanted to “be his own man” and “become [him]self” and thus he can’t team with Sydal anymore. That was a waste of eighteen months.
They did some moves and stuff. They did what they could to show off their stuff in the short amount of time they were given. Silas Young was on commentary and buried them both for being young and flippy. He also buried ACH for playing video games. There was a decent post-match bit which wound up with Silas jumping ACH from behind and laying him out with Misery.

Kevin Kelly recites his lines meant to get over the story of how War Machine lost the titles after defending the titles so many times in 24 hours and Rowe eating a Rainmaker, etc. and how it’s so unfortunate that they lost the belts right after having finally beaten the Briscoes… and that’s what it sounded like. Kevin Kelly was reciting lines he had memorized, with no real passion.

TAG TEAM SEGMENT- Addiction come out and claim to be undefeated. I will never understand why people want heels to claim to be idiotic. They say they are the best team in ROH. MCMG come out and cut an awesome promo on them. They want a tag title shot tonight. Then Roppongi Vice came out and they (mostly Trent) cut a promo on the Addiction as well. The result of this was an angry Daniels offering to have a three-way match right now in which if either of the two teams could beat them, they will get a title shot at Best in the World. Nigel was right there on commentary, so I’ll pretend he gave some sort of nod to approve this.
This was a fine segment, but it’s just crazy to me to send the guns out here to be all happy and smiley when the last time we saw them- a mere two days ago- The Bullet Club was TRYING TO HANG Chris Sabin.

THE ADDICTION vs. ROPPONGI VICE vs. MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS- 6.75/10
MCMG pin The Addiction (for about the third time this year) to earn a tag title shot.

RODERICK STRONG PROMO- I was quite shocked that they put a promo on TV to build up a rather inconsequential and not blockbuster (but still slightly big) house show match. Roddy's delivery was fine, but his message left me scratching my head. He said "Jay Briscoe, have I offended you? Because when you speak my name, it sounds like I have offended you." What the hell is he talking about? Did I miss a promo or something?
After that it was good.

BULLET CLUB PROMO- good.

NIGEL ANNOUNCES THE WHITMER VS. CORINO FIGHT WITHOUT HONOR AT BITW- I'm glad we're finally getting this match, but the idea that everyone is coming down so hard on Whitmer for these videos where he is being a perfect gentleman to Mrs. Corino is completely silly. There has been much more outrage over this than there has been over Bullet Club assaulting innocent people and TRYING TO HANG CHRIS SABIN.

RECAP OF ADAM PAGE JOINING THE BULLET CLUB- Oh. Okay. Well at least here is some outrage over the attempted murder of Chris Sabin. Well... kind of. We were told that they couldn't show it too us because of "broadcast standards" but we could go to www.ROHWrestling.com to buy the VOD and find out.

HIROSHI TANAHASHI, MICHAEL ELGIN, & YOSHITATSU vs. BULLET CLUB (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks)- 6.5/10
Matt Taven was on commentary for this match and buried Bullet Club. It was pretty funny. Other than that, the math was completely unremarkable. It went less than ten minutes.

After the match all of the members of Bullet Club came out to celebrate except for Cole, with the explanation seeming to be that Cole is afraid of Taven. Oh come on.

A disappointing show from ROH, mostly because of the handling of the Bullet Club. Nothing they did here in any way made this Bullet Club invasion feel like a big angle.
