AJ Styles & Nick Jackson injured

A.J. Styles is off the weekend WWE house shows due to an injury. He was holding his back on Raw and he's had back problems dating back months although it is not confirmed it was a back injury. Style was working the Carolinas run with shows on Friday night in Greenville, Saturday night in Raleigh and Sunday in Columbia. I expect he'll be at Raw in Greensboro since it's the go-home show for Extreme Rules.

Nick Jackson of the Young Bucks was injured in the first Young Bucks match last night in Toronto. He was scheduled in the team ROH vs. Bullet Club main event at last night's fourth hour of the tapings but wasn't able to wrestle. It is believed to be a broken rib, but that isn't official. He is most likely off Saturday's ROH show in New York.

It bodes terribly. WWE have used AJ ALOT since he arrived.

Dave says Matt Jackson is dealing with a hand injury and it's possible both of them will miss BOSJ.

I was going to say that, too, but then I was trying to figure out who they could replace them with, but I REALLY don't want them to take Kamaitach away from ROH right now. Maybe some guys from NOAH?

Meltzer was hinting at Roddy and ACH. They could bring Suzuki-Gun guys but I don't think they want any of them back unless they come back as a team. They could bring Barbaro Cavernario and Dragon Lee, but it may be too short notice for them. NOAH could be but i don't know who it would be, I think Ishimori is going to be in Mexico for the world cup during some of the dates

Maybe they'll give Juice, Jay, or Finlay the chance.

Page and Cole are also quite likely, but I don't know if they're already doing ROH dates

Some people are reporting Chase Owens as a replacement for one of the Bucks.

It'll be interesting to see what they do with Finlay considering that he's still a young boy. It'd be really interesting if they go against convention and let him get a win or two here and then start his push without sending him off on excursion just yet.

If it were me I would have put Jay White in Finlay's place and have him fight hard but lose every match. Immediately after this I would send him on excursion to ROH, evaluate him during next year's Global Wars/War of the Worlds tour, and if he's doing as well as you hope, bring him back starting with the 2017 BOSJ with a big push to show off how much he has kayfabe learned in a year.

it could work, but consider that by next year's BOSJ, Tanaka and Komatsu should be coming back too. My hopes are that they come in as a tag team and would just focus on the tag titles instead of filling out the tournament with tag teams
