Eva Marie portrays a heel in NXT, but she’ll apparently be a face on Sunday. WWE announced after Raw that she will be competing in a 10-Diva Tag Team Match this Sunday on the WrestleMania Kickoff.
At the event, Eva Marie will join Natalya, Brie Bella, Alicia Fox and Paige (Total Divas) to take on Lana, Tamina, Naomi, Emma and Summer Rae (B.A.D. & Blonde).
WWE provided this clip of Eva Marie returning toRaw in a move the Brooklyn, New York crowd didn’t seem to care for.
Eva Marie emerged after Emma defeated Paige with the help of Lana in a singles match. A brawl ensued on the outside between the nine participants in Sunday’s tag team match before the redheaded Diva returned to the ring and charged after Lana.
After the ring was clear, with Eva Marie and Paige, Natalya, Bella and Fox standing tall, the four faces seemed both shocked and annoyed that Marie decided to join their team.
It was Triple H’s decision for Eva Marie to join the Total Divas squad against B.A.D. & Blonde. Vince McMahon, who is interested in promoting NXT Women’s Champion Bayley to the main roster, wanted her to fill out the final spot on the babyface side. Hunter was not in favor of this, and explained to Vince that Eva Marie would be a perfect fit for the Total Divas team. He also pointed out that Bayley is part of the “wrestling” division and not the Divas division.
While Vince likes Eva Marie, he felt she would garner too much heat from fans. Creative plans call for Eva Marie to continue to act as a heel on the team.

I was almost certain Bayley was going to show up after Eva did.
What I think this really is is actually something more significant. This is might well be the first instance of Hunter hurting the main roster for the sake of NXT. Not that this match actually matters or anything, but I think Hunter is unhappy that he had a good chunk of his top division snatched away from him and now Vince is looking to take the only star he has left before Hunter has even come close to building up anyone (aside from maybe Asuka) to replace her.

What I like about this is that Hunter identified Bayley as being a "wrestler" instead of a "Diva".

And what scares me is that this was evidence enough for Vince to decide that she should stay down at NXT.Serujuunin wrote:What I like about this is that Hunter identified Bayley as being a "wrestler" instead of a "Diva".

i don't think it's that they took a big chunk of the nxt roster, since they still have A LOT of good talent down there, but more as in they bring people in because they want new faces, but completely fail to book them and end up lost in the mix, and this surely reflects on Hunter as "the guys you're building up in your developmental playground are not making a difference"Big Red Machine wrote:I was almost certain Bayley was going to show up after Eva did.

So now i think that Hunter cares more about not just throwing up his main guys just like that because he sees the importance that Bayley and Balor (the two debuts he has stopped) will have in the future of the WWE and sees the necesity to bring them up to become THE stars and not just new stars

I most cases I'd agree, but despite the atrocious booking of the Divas Revolution, it is hard to argue that over the past three months, Becky, Sasha, and Charlotte have all become the top stars in the division. There is a lot of talent in NXT, but none of them are ready to headline. Are you really going to headline your women's division with Dana Brooke vs. Alexa Bliss? And keep in mind that this is me saying that Alexa isn't ready to headline. I'm not saying that what you are saying isn't playing a part in it, but I think Hunter's rep as the savior of the business also increases with every time Vince bungles someone like Neville. I think Hunter is more concerned about the viability of NXT as a touring brand. Rich Swann and Apollo Crews are great and all, but they're not Prince Devitt and Sami Zayn and Samoa Joe in terms of name recognition or even in terms of indy-level star power.cero2k wrote:i don't think it's that they took a big chunk of the nxt roster, since they still have A LOT of good talent down there, but more as in they bring people in because they want new faces, but completely fail to book them and end up lost in the mix, and this surely reflects on Hunter as "the guys you're building up in your developmental playground are not making a difference"Big Red Machine wrote:I was almost certain Bayley was going to show up after Eva did.

I think it's both things. NXT is still quite strong with Crews, Corbin, Joe, Aries, Nakamura, and even Rhyno. Kenta, Roode, and Young could be coming in soon too. Riddle, King Cuerno, and Sabre i'm guessing get signed before year's end. Womens' have Asuka as the new face, and while Alexa, Nia, and Emma can chase, you re-intro Peyton and Billy Kay who i believe will actually carry the division for a while. Tag teams are solid, Jordan and Gable are soo good that i can see them main eventing more shows once they win the titles, and with the cruiserweight stuff, Sombra, Swann, Busick should all be coming in soon and strong. And don't forget NO WAY JOSE!!Big Red Machine wrote:
