As reported last night on PWInsider.com, WWE is sending William Regal, Chad Gable and Jason Jordan to the 1/23 EVOLVE event over Royal Rumble weekend in Orlando, Florida. As you might expect, ticket sales surged for the event after the announcement. Gable and Jordan will NOT be wrestling but will be appearing for an autograph signing (which will be free for VIP ticketholders). Regal WILL be appearing as part of the live event, doing some sort of angle where he interacts with EVOLVE talents My guess is that like the Sami Zayn appearances in NYC, this will be a segment only for those live in Orlando. It should be really interesting to see what direction this takes. For ticket information, visit www.DGUSA.tv. The promotion is also allowing upgrades to VIP tickets for just an additional $10.

Obviously, things are continuing to slowly progress in the relationship between WWE and EVOLVE's parent company WWNLive.com. We are told that conversations to have talents on 1/23 started only a week ago and were finalized the same day the announcements were made. WWE made the decision to have the appearances as a way to help EVOLVE out. EVOLVE officials are very excited about the appearances since it's the first time the NXT talents have ever appeared in an independent setting and having someone of Regal's stature at the show brings them additonal credibility.

Another plus for EVOLVE is that with the announcement, they also saw a number of wrestlers sign up for their pre-show training seminar that weekend as the message is becoming clearer that a way into WWE developmental could be through the WWNLive promotions.
