According to InDemand's website, on Friday January 8th at 8pm, TNA will broadcast a TNA One Night Only PPV called "TNA One Night Only: Live!" live from Bethlehem, PA. on PPV providers.
The description reads, "It's a dawn of a new era, where anything can and will happen. For one night only, the stars of Impact Wrestling discover what 2016 has in store."
PPV mentioned above will air live on PPV in USA & Canada. UK will get it on the 12th on Challenge (UK). Sony Six (India) & other countries in the week after it airs in USA, like normal.

I understand that they're going for buzz, but from what I understand, taped PPVs are a lot cheaper than live ones, and if you aren't going to be building any of the matches up, you're going to do the same bad buyrate you do for all of the One Night Only shows.
That being said, there are probably some things they could set up on the live 1/5 show to build to the PPV without taking too much time away from whatever direction they want to set. You could have Tyrus show up at the end of the 1/5 show to cash in the title shot he won at BFG (although I will admit this works best if Ethan is not going to be your champion- if he is, then this would deserve a lot more build). You could also do some quick segment to use the various champions' losses to set up title matches for the PPV.
