BRM Reviews the 11/18/2015 Impact (very bad)

Post by Big Red Machine » Nov 18th, '15, 21:23

TNA WORLD TITLE SERIES GROUP KNOCKOUTS MATCH: Awesome Kong(3) vs. Brooke(3)- 4.25/10

MATT HARDY & EC III INTERVIEW- long and boring.

EY PROMO- bad.

TNA WORLD TITLE SERIES GROUP X-DIVISION MATCH: Manik(6) vs. Tigre Uno(3)- 6/10
Standard X-Division stuff.

TNA WORLD TITLE SERIES GROUP TNA ORIGINALS MATCH: Eric Young(3) vs. James Storm(3)- 4/10
Okay… they KNEW Storm was on his way out… so why didn’t they just book EY to beat him clean?

MATT HARDY INTERVIEW- bad

TNA WORLD TITLE SERIES GROUP WILDCARD MATCH: Aiden O’Shea(3) vs. Mahabali Shera(6)- 0.25/10
O’Shea appears to have learned how not to be hypnotized by Shera’s dance. Good for him. The match was SOOOOO boring.

EY PROMO- he claims that he has “done nothing but succeed” his whole life. So I guess he considers those ten years as a comedy jobber to be “success?”

TNA WORLD TITLE SERIES GROUP FUTURE 4 MATCH: Eli Drake(4) vs. Crimson (0)- 2/10
Sooo… did Ethan hack the feed? Or did some dumb-sh*t on the production team actually cut to him in the middle of a match.
Josh Matthews described this match as “a classic,” which is a statement so ridiculous and outrageous that I instinctively started to type Matt Striker’s name instead of Josh’s.
Oh. So they are actually trying to give us an explanation for why someone would cut to Ethan in the middle of a match. Well… maybe this will be the beginning of TNA turning over a new leaf?
Another boring match. Drake won with a terrible-looking arm submission of some sort. This was Crimson’s third loss in this tournament… which is probably the same amount of losses he has suffered on TNA TV prior to this tournament.

EC III INTERVIEW- okay

TNA WORLD TITLE SERIES GROUP TNA ORIGINALS MATCH: Bobby Roode(3) vs. Abyss(3)- 5.5/10
Earl Hebner is apparently so weak that he can’t yank a chair out from between the ropes. We get another soft ref bump to let Abyss try to use Janice. Here’s an idea: how about we have an Abyss match that DOESN’T involve weapons?

A very bad show from TNA. Everything was either boring or bad.

because (1) Young is a heel, and (2) i'm sure that at this point they were still trying to get Storm to stay with the company, they didn't stop making offers until the day after he was in nxt

i actually liked O'Shea a lot here, i wish he would get some build up vignettes to not make him look like a random dude.

1. Irrelevant. Heels need clean wins to look credible, and Storm is a heel, too.
2. I'd like to think James Storm is the kind of guy who doesn't mind doing a clean job for a good friend on the way out.

1. after many years of WWE and TNA, it's how it works, heels cheat to win
2. i don't think he would mind, but TNA sucking up to him wouldn't ask him to do it

Because he already beat him clean. He already hit him.
When they come, they'll come at what you love.
