Heard from the MLW podcast with Rey Mysterio. Mysterio said it himself that Low Ki wanted to do a feud where he played his opposite and feud with Rey with a masked gimmick.
Mysterio loved the idea but they never went to it. It was heavily implied that WWE was purposely fucking with Low Ki to break him.
Did you know....Low Ki in WWE

Did not know this.
I had heard the "purposely f*cking with him to break him" thing before, and it's a shame because- well- Ki had a well-earned reputation as someone who perhaps needed to be broken a little (he had gotten into multiple spats with management in both ROH and TNA which resulted in him leaving both companies both times, and was apparently quite the self-appointed king of the locker room in PWG and stuff like that)... and yet WWE was really the only place where he went in with a humble attitude from the beginning. It was the only place he didn't need to be broken, but they tried to break him anyway.

i had heard that too, i figured that's why he was paired up with LayCool in NXT and losing a bunch, but even then you could see he was enjoying himself more than usual.Big Red Machine wrote:Did not know this.
