MATCH 4 IN THEIR BEST OF 5 SERIES: ACH vs. Matt Sydal- 7.75/10
Might even be an 8/10 if we got to see the full, uncut match. I’m really hoping ROH puts out a “Best of ROH TV in 2015” DVD.

POST-MATCH SEGMENT- ACH and Sydal shake hands, but then are both taken out by the Addiction.

ADDICTION PROMO- good stuff revolving around the interference in the tag title match. They are eventually interrupted by the All Night Express who are ridiculously over. Kenny King’s beard has grown substantially since I last saw him on TV an hour ago. That alone makes him much more of a Rick Rude than Ciampa was.
When we come back from commercial, we learn that Nigel has signed ANX vs. Addiction for next week.


SILAS YOUNG & BEER CITY BRUISER vs. THE BOYS- no rating, good segment.

ROH TV TITLE MATCH: Jay Lethal(c) (w/Truth Martini) vs. Takaaki Watanabe- 6.5/10
The match was a little disappointing for a TV main event, but the thing that annoyed me most was Lethal’s inability to win cleanly… or rather Delirious’ inability to book Lethal to win cleanly. Watanabe is about to go back to Japan. His excursion is over. You cannot possibly continue this program. SO WHY THE F*CK WOULDN’T YOU PUT LETHAL OVER CLEAN?! And you know what? Even if Watanabe was staying around, Lethal should go over cleanly anyway because IT’S JUST WATANABE. One thing Delirious has done with Lethal quite a lot that has really bothered me over the past six months is that he won’t put him over cleanly even if he’s not facing a guy who needs to be protected, and oftentimes nothing ever comes out of this dirty win (for examples of that, see this match, Lethal’s TV Title defense against Dalton Castle, his victory over Ray Rowe on the Best in the World Tour and others). This is ROH. A champion- even a heel champion- should go over cleanly most of the time, and if he doesn’t, it should actually lead to something.

A good show from ROH, but the main event was certainly disappointing.
