A man was shot today at the WWE Performance Center according to News 6 in Orlando.

The shooting took place at about 1:40 PM Eastern time and the victim was taken to the hospital as a trauma alert.

Shannon Butler, an Orlando news reporter, repoted that a witness to the shooting said a person invovled, only identified as a male, had been arrested at the Performance Center days earlier.

WWE released a statement moments ago saying, "Unfortunately a deranged individual with no WWE affiliation, who had a court order prohibiting him from being on WWE property, was invovled with an Orange County Sheriff's deputy in the parking lot of the WWE Performance Center. We defer to the Orange County Sheriff's department for further comment and information."

It was some guy with a previous history of being arrested for sneaking around the performance center who was apparently "fixated" with one of the female talent.

No. Police shot him after he charged at them with a knife. Here is an update from the Torch:
The man who trespassed at WWE's Performance Center and was shot by police on Monday has been identified as Armando Montalvo, according to TMZ.

The report notes that WWE obtained a restraining order against Montalvo earlier in the month after he "spread his feces and urine on the building" because WWE would not hire him.

Montalvo returned to the Performance Center on Monday wielding a knife, which led to WWE staff calling 911. Police confronted Montalvo in the parking lot. According to the sheriff, Montalvo did not listen to instructions from officers, then charged toward them, and he was shot.

Prior to Monday, Montalvo went to the P.C. dressed as a wrestler and making threats because WWE would not hire him, according to TMZ.

Montalvo also posted a disturbing video pooping into a bucket. He repeatedly said the name of former WWE Diva A.J. Lee in the video.

Police said at Monday's press conference that Montalvo was "fixated" on an NXT Diva who was not at the P.C. on Monday. It's unclear if there was confusion over the identity of Montalvo's fixation, or if Montalvo was fixated on A.J. as well as other Divas.

Montalvo is currently at a local Florida hospital after being shot.
