Report: Backstage news on Seth Rollins defending the U.S. Title at Night of Champions; Page out of ROH’s book?

As noted, Sting vs. Seth Rollins at September’s WWE Night of Champions pay-per-view will be for the WWE World Heavyweight Title.

It was noted on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that Vince McMahon has not signed off on Rollins defending his WWE United States Title belt at Night of Champions yet. However, it was also noted that Rollins likely will be pulling double duty that night.

This is similar to what Ring of Honor just did with ROH World and ROH TV Champion Jay Lethal.
