I am away on vacation this week and woke up to my phone exploding this morning when I turned it on due to the Hulk Hogan story breaking. It's almost as if we are watching a replay of former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling's downfall when a recording of racist comments leaked. Hulk Hogan might win his lawsuit over Gawker still, but what it cost him is far more valuable than what he could receive financially.
While Dave Scherer's coverage has been awesome, one aspect that wasn't touched upon was who might replace Hulk Hogan as a Judge on Tough Enough.
In speaking to a few people within WWE over the last hour, I am under the impression a final decision has yet to be made but Ric Flair's name has come up quite a bit internally this morning.
I believe Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn will make the final decision. Tough Enough has been seen as a major priority within the company, to the point that since it launched Vince McMahon has skipped Smackdown tapings in order to personally oversee Tough Enough's production at Full Sail University every week. They are not going to throw just anyone in that role.
I've also heard that Flair is the top candidate to replace Hulk Hogan on the forthcoming WWE tour of Australia.
