Ring of Honor will return to suburban Minneapolis, Minnesota on Friday July 11 with the Aftershock Tour ’15. The event will take place at the Hopkins Eisenhower Community Center at 7:00 pm. The doors will open at 5:30.
The wrestling world is abuzz with the fallout from Best in the World ’15. ROH Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness went right to work to get the following matches signed for this amazing event:
Triple Threat Main Event
IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION “THE PHENOMENAL" AJ STYLES vs. “MR ROH" RODERICK STRONG vs. KYLE O'REILLY
Roderick Strong is on a record setting pace in 2015. He most recently secured the number 1 contenders position with a big win over Moose & “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin at Best in The World. AJ Styles has been facing and defeating anyone put in front of him, whether its in Japan or in Ring of Honor. He appears to be almost unstoppable. Kyle O’Reilly is known as a great tag team wrestler but is also a solid singles competitor. In March he tapped out new ROH World & Television Champion Jay Lethal and this past April he took Lethal to a time limit draw! You are going to see three of the very best in Ring of Honor face off in Hopkins. They will be focused on being the one who gets the next title opportunity against Jay Lethal!
Mixed Tag Team
UNDISPUTED ROH WORLD & WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPION JAY LETHAL & TRUTH MARTINI vs JAY BRISCOE & O.D.B.
Jay Briscoe & Truth Martini made life very tough for former ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe recently. Even before losing his championship to Lethal, Briscoe felt the pressure of the H.O.T. and the constant presence of Martini could have played into Briscoe suffering just his first loss in over 2 years to Lethal. At ROH’s 13th Anniversary they brought One Dirty Briscoe in to even the odds. At every chance O.D.B. had to get him, Martini would slip away! On July 11, Martini won’t be able to run. He will have to stand side by side with Jay Lethal and face off with a very angry Jay Briscoe and O.D.B. This will not be pretty! An enraged Briscoe and O.D.B. looking for vengeance awaits the new champion and his manager.
THE KINGDOM'S ADAM COLE vs reDRagon’s BOBBY FISH
These two larger than life personalities will clash for the first time in singles competition in Ring of Honor! Former ROH World Champion Adam Cole is gaining momentum since returning from a serious shoulder injury. Fish is also gaining momentum, creating a lot of attention after nearly defeating then ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe at War of The Worlds Night 1. There appears to be simmering issues between the Kingdom and reDRagon that have The Kingdom's Queen, Maria Kanellis, very concerned. It’s the obnoxious former World Champion against the obnoxious former 3x ROH World Tag Team Champion who is looking to stake his claim at singles glory.

So... two matches that should be absolutely awesome, and one match for a feud that has passed it's peak and also involves ODB.
Also... where did these issues between Maria and reDRagon come from?

Re: Aftershock Tour Hype
The Addiction attacked Kyle during the match, Cole helped fight them off, then they reformed for 1 night only to face The Addiction. and I'm gonna guess The Kingdom is paranoid Cole will leave them and become a 3 man team with reDRagon so they want to prove they're better than the other guys in reDRagoncero2k wrote:when did FutureShock get together? i just know they fought each other in the latest set of tapingsBulletclubfan2014 wrote: I read the spoilers and this came cuz Maria blames Cole for her getting hurt at BITW and the rest of Kingdom as well as Fish were upset Cole reformed Future Shock for 1 night as well

Here's the Vegas card.
www.ROHWrestling.com wrote: Friday, July 17th - Sam's Town Casino - Las Vegas, NV
The summer of 2015 is getting hotter and hotter in Ring of Honor! We now have a HUGE update on our return to Las Vegas on July 17th. When you combine the unbelievable physicality of these athletes with the non-stop excitement of Vegas, you are guaranteed a night you will never forget. After the success of our 13TH ANNIVERSARY in Vegas, ROH can't wait to go "all in" once again...and this time Ring of Honor will be debuting at SAM'S TOWN HOTEL & GAMBLING HALL!
SAM'S TOWN HOTEL & GAMBLING HALL

LAS VEGAS, NV 89122

Just signed for the Las Vegas stop on the AFTERSHOCK Tour...
VEGAS WILD CARD MAIN EVENT
Jay Lethal, Roderick Strong, and Moose vs. Jay Briscoe, Dalton Castle, and Kyle O'Reilly
Talk about a "wild card"! This eclectic mix of ROH stars would never, ever come together if we weren't in Vegas!
Kyle O'Reilly is no stranger to Jay Lethal, as O'Reilly once forced Lethal to tap out during a Champion's Challenge match and, more recently, they battled to an unbelievable time limit draw. Now that Lethal is World Champion, there is no doubt O'Reilly is even more focused on proving he can beat him. Meanwhile, former champion Jay Briscoe teams up with one of the most...unique...personalities in the history of ROH, Dalton Castle! We suspect Castle's "Boys" are not in any way related to Dem Boys from Sandy Fork, but on July 17th they will work as a team to defeat three of the top stars in professional wrestling today. Most noteworthy is the fact that ROH World Champion Jay Lethal will be on the SAME side of the ring as his Number One Contender, Roderick Strong, just a week before they face off for the title at DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR!
ROPPONGI VICE (Rocky Romero & Berretta) vs. YOUNG BUCKS (Nick Jackson & Matt Jackson)
There is a lot of bad blood and history between RPG Vice and the Young Bucks, who are also the current IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions after winning the titles off Romero and Berretta...who had defeated the Bucks to win the belts in the first place! These two teams have battled all over the globe. Every single match involving these four athletes is more insane and exciting than the last, so there is no telling what they'll unleash in Las Vegas!
ROH TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDER TOURNAMENT
WINNERS FACE OFF IN 3-WAY ELIMINATION TO DETERMINE #1 CONTENDER FOR TV CHAMPIONSHIP
Although he is now the ROH World Champion, Jay Lethal is still holding on to the World Television Championship as well. In order to determine the next top contender for this title, Nigel McGuinness has decided to give six ROH stars a huge opportunity in Vegas! These six men will face off in a tournament to determine the next challenger for the ROH World Television Championship. The winner of each opening round match will advance to the Three Way Elimination final! The entire tournament takes place in ONE NIGHT so by the end of July 17th we will know the name of our new Number One Contender for the a Television Championship!
The opening round matches for the ROH TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDER TOURNAMENT:
- Christopher Daniels vs. Mark Briscoe
- Matt Taven vs. Bobby Fish
- Frankie Kazarian vs. ACH
PLUS...
Maria Kanellis will have a special announcement!
ALSO IN ACTION...
- Adam Cole
- Michael Bennett
- Silas Young
- WAR MACHINE (HANSON & ROWE)

Re: Aftershock Tour Hype
I'm really not a fan of the main event, but whatever. More random "WE'RE IN VEGAS!" crap. The gimmick of the champ and his nexr challenger being on the same side would be fine if they hadn't done something very similar at the Nashville show.
If the Kingdom are, indeed, breaking up, it will be such a HUGE missed opportunity to not do Kingdom vs. KRD. Shouldn't the Kingdom be angry that the KRD impersonated them? Plus it will be an awesome match, it will be a fun main even that you'll never be able to do again, and you can have Cole take the pinfall (again) and have Bennett and Taven blame the loss on him.
I also don't get the point of doing the TV Title #1 contendership tournament in one night. What's the rush to get it done before DBD if Lethal isn't defending the TV Title on that show? In fact, the fact that Lethal is defending the World Title instead of the TV Title on that show makes THAT SHOW the perfect show to have the finals of this tournament. All you have to do stop the results of the Vegas matches from being obvious is to not announce that the finals will be at DBD until after the Vegas show is over.
DAMMIT, LIZARD MAN! WHY CAN'T YOU BE GABE?!

this and that, except i don't have a problem with the main event, it's typical random stuff for a random tv show. it looks really random, but it's 6 guys ROH is super hot on, i do have curiosity to see how Briscoe/Dalton/O'Reilly interact with each otherBig Red Machine wrote:I'm really not a fan of the main event, but whatever. Re: Aftershock Tour Hype
Here's the rest of the Hopkins card. Not so interesting.
4 CORNER SURVIVAL
MICHAEL BENNETT W/MARIA KANELLIS VS. MOOSE VS. WILL FERRARA VS. CHEESEBURGER
No one does a 4 Corner match quite like Ring of Honor! These challenges always bring together an unexpected mix of unlikely opponents, and July 11th will be no different. Michael Bennett will strike out without his tag team partner, Matt Taven, to take on an old foe...CHEESEBURGER! Burger, Bennett, and Maria have a lot of history, most of which Maria would love to forget. Will Ferrara adds an elevated element of speed and athleticism to the fray. And rounding out the field, Moose is cultivating more and more hostility toward his DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR opponent, Cedric Alexander. But on July 11th, his three opponents are going to have to face one big, angry MOOSE!
MARK BRISCOE VS. DANNY DUGGAN
After a standout performance in his last Ring of Honor outing, Danny Duggan returns to ROH! He's set to take on Mark Briscoe, one half of record holding ROH World Tag Team Champions, The Briscoes. This is a huge opportunity for Duggan to cement himself as an up-and-coming prospect for Ring of Honor. You never know when you're watching a future World Champion, so you definitely don't want to miss July 11th!
SILAS YOUNG & BEER CITY BRUISER VS. WAR MACHINE
Silas Young and Beer City Bruiser might seem like an unlikely pairing at first glance. But they have quite a bit in common. Both are loud, miserable, abrasive and not exactly endearing themselves to the ROH locker room. Is the Beer City Bruiser "man" enough to team with the Last Real Man? Their opponents don't really care WHO they face because they promise the same result every single time: destruction. War Machine are bulldozing a path through the competition, no matter where and no matter who!

Name me ONE PERSON who has come out of the ROH Wrestling School and actually made it. Under ANY trainer, be it Punk, Aries, Dragon, Delirious & Daizee, or Brutal Bob.
None. They all job in ROH for a while and then don't do anything. Rhett and Grizz are the only two who ever even felt like an established part of the regular roster, and Grizz was always a jobber while Rhett was a midcarder at best. In order for them to keep pushing the Wrestling School, they need to have it represented on the roster (which is what WWE has totally failed at with Tough Enough).
