And on a more general note, I HATE when companies just randomly redesign a belt because. I honestly think that every single belt redesign since 2005 has been progressively worse (in ROH, TNA, and WWE. Belts become iconic because people are used to seeing them. No one is going to get used to seeing the belt if you keep switching it up, and changing it up so often just makes changing it up mean even less.

by argument of the spinner belt, if it's ugly, it's best to change it whether it's become iconic or not

Yes... except that the new WWE World Heavyweight Title is almost as bad, and all of the other changes (aside from arguably the change to the current TNA World Heavyweight Title) have all been changes to uglier belts.

I just read that is the same title belt with a paint-job, which is not only dumb, but it will look embarrassing when the paint starts to chip.

1. I don't think the title is better this way.
2. What if the paint starts to chip? Then you've exposed the fact that you claimed a belt was new but it was really just repainted, whcih makes you look really cheap.
It's not a big negative, but I think it would have been better to just leave it as it was.
