Mark Briscoe vs Moose just happened like 3 months ago AT a ppv, and Dijak is leagues away from being as awesome as Moose, Dijak doesn't really play off his height as a GIANT, War Machine and Moose act more like giants than Dijak. and while i disagree with the 'serious' promotion thing, because i think every promotion should have a little bit of comedy here and there, let's be honest, Mark vs Dijak is not gonna be a clinic, or a blood feud, it'll be a competitive comedy match too, i agree that Silas vs Castle sounds like a tv match, but I see more promise in that match than Redneck Kung Fu vs Truth Martini shenanigansBig Red Machine wrote: You are right about Briscoe vs. Dijak, but at least that match will be interesting. When was the last time we saw Mark Briscoe face off against a GIANT? Have we ever even seen it?
Castle vs. Silas is going to be one of the same two matches Castle has with everyone, which is also the same match that Silas has with everyone like Castle (Romantic Touch, etc.). It'd be a fine match for a regular show... maybe you could even put it on DBD with a bit of build... but for one of your precious few PPVs, it is a huge waste (and, personally, Castle is not the sort of guy I would put on PPV if you are trying to be the "serious" promotion. I wouldn't want Delirious on their either, and would only use RT in six-man scrambles)

Okay. I forgot about the Moose match and you're right about Dijak not wrestling like a giant (unless he's in there with really small guys like Ferrara)... but I highly doubt Mark vs. Dijak will be a comedy match. It will be competitive. That's better than Castle and Silas giving me a comedy match I've seen a bunch of times already (and really was never that funny in the first place: Castle is flamboyant and has manservants. That's the whole of the "joke").cero2k wrote:Mark Briscoe vs Moose just happened like 3 months ago AT a ppv, and Dijak is leagues away from being as awesome as Moose, Dijak doesn't really play off his height as a GIANT, War Machine and Moose act more like giants than Dijak. and while i disagree with the 'serious' promotion thing, because i think every promotion should have a little bit of comedy here and there, let's be honest, Mark vs Dijak is not gonna be a clinic, or a blood feud, it'll be a competitive comedy match too, i agree that Silas vs Castle sounds like a tv match, but I see more promise in that match than Redneck Kung Fu vs Truth Martini shenanigansBig Red Machine wrote: You are right about Briscoe vs. Dijak, but at least that match will be interesting. Yes, every promotion has room for comedy, but a big nation PPV is not the place for a comedy match, especially when you are trying to get established on PPV, and only run a few a year. I would much rather they didn't do the match at all and used that time to ensure that Lethal vs. Briscoe gets the time it needs to be the epic match they've been building it up as (because I'm not so sure Jay Briscoe can deliver that).

At least it should mean something big for Cedric. I'm guessing he doesn't shake after the match, Caprice tries to talk to him, so Cedric attacks him. We'll probably get a first encounter at at DBD then a blow-off at either Field of Honor or one of the All-Star Extravaganza shows.cero2k wrote:everyone was expecting this match, so i'm not surprised.
