The ROAD TO BEST IN THE WORLD barrels straight through Oklahoma City! On May 30th, just weeks before BEST IN THE WORLD, Ring of Honor will be LIVE at the Oklahoma State Fair Park. The stakes are high as your favorite ROH stars look to establish dominance heading into our next PPV event. Here's the latest update on matches signed on THE ROAD TO BEST IN THE WORLD...

ADAM COLE VS. ACH

ADAM COLE is back! There was a lot of speculation heading into last week's epic WAR OF THE WORLDS two night event. Would Adam Cole be cleared to compete on Night 2 as planned? As it turned out, Adam Cole was ready to go on Night 1 when he took on AJ STYLES in an unbelievable rematch many are already calling potential match of the year! Now the former ROH World Champion wants to get back into contention as soon as possible, and to do that he needs to take on the top flight competitors in ROH. On May 30, the challenge comes in the form of high flying, high energy superstar ACH!

MICHAEL ELGIN VS. DALTON CASTLE

Power vs. Peacock in Oklahoma City! In just a few short months, Dalton Castle has commanded attention in Ring of Honor unlike anyone else - ever! But Castle has shown he's more than just showmanship and sizzle. He is also a skilled professional wrestler who can be just as physical as anyone else in ROH when the time is right. And that time will come on May 30th when he takes on former ROH World Champion "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin! It was just announced that Elgin will have the opportunity to earn a title shot at BEST IN THE WORLD and work his way back into Championship contention. But before he gets to the PPV, Elgin needs to stay focused on his hungry, ambitious upcoming opponents like Dalton Castle.

THE ROMANTIC TOUCH VS. SILAS YOUNG

Though he was always surly, it seems Silas Young has become even more embittered even since returning from his recent injury. He's making up for lost time by taking on anyone and everyone, including his own tag partners like Watanabe! On May 30th, The Romantic Touch tries his luck against a "real man" who doesn't seem to have a whole lot of patience for the prancing and antics that have become Romantic Touch's specialty.

The Addiction, Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian shocked the world recently by defeating reDRagon to become the ROH World Tag Team Champions. They also revealed themselves, along with Chris Sabin, to be the voices behind the Knights of The Rising Dawn propaganda. They have the tag team division of ROH on edge, fearing that an attack could come at any time. That mental edge makes them very dangerous. They will face off against a team that for the most part are mentally unshakable. Sydal and Delirious actually broke into professional wrestling in the St. Louis area nearly 15 years ago. Some say Sydal is the only man who can understand the dialect in which Delirious speaks. Could that be the key to greatness for these two? This homecoming could be very special for this dynamic duo! Could Sydal & Delirious avoid mind games and defeat the champions or will The Addiction be able to handle the unpredictable duo?

Our main event will be a non-title Triple Threat match with The Briscoes vs. Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions The Addiction vs. War Machine

The Addiction is fresh off winning their first tag team championship in ROH and have jumped right into the fire. The Briscoes are the most decorated tag team in ROH History and are looking to further add to that legacy. War Machine just returned as a team and are gaining a scary amount of momentum! Can The Addiction avoid a loss against two of the very best? Are the Briscoes ready to prove themselves once again? Is this War Machine’s coming out party? This is a main event that will have the wrestling world buzzing!

We will also have former ROH World Champion “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin facing off against #Reborn Matt Sydal

The always unpredictable Elgin has his sights firmly on the #1 contenders match at Best in The World ’15 against Moose & “Mr ROH” Roderick Strong. I actually like the "winner gets a title shot later in the night" deal here, but I think it would have been better to set it up by first announcing Briscoe's, then having Lethal cut a promo on Youtube (which you can link to from the front page of the website) demanding that ROH set up a similar match to determine who will challenge him that night for the TV Title so that he can prove that anything Briscoe can do, he can do better.

It has eluded him and he understands that a win here puts him in line for a title opportunity. Silas Young has just returned off a major injury and has made waves by nearly defeating Jay Briscoe his first night back! Will Ferrara made the finals of the 2015 ROH Top Prospect Tournament. Facing off against Raymond Rowe could definitely put Lethal's well being in jeopardy. Rowe is an intense, hard hitting monster capable of ending conflict with impact at anytime. Truth Martini may have made a bad choice in signing the contract for this one. Rowe is one half of War Machine and that could mean the tag team mindset is prevalent. Lethal is one of the best singles wrestlers in the world right now and has everything to lose! Can Lethal stay healthy and score a win here?

THE KINGDOM'S MATT TAVEN w/MARIA KANELLIS VS HANSON

These two superstars have similar roots, breaking into professional wrestling together. They have, however, taken very different routes to get to where they are. Taven a former ROH World Television Champion and has proven himself as a great singles star. Most recently as part of The Kingdom with Michael Bennett, he has gained tag team stardom. The duo are the current IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions. Hanson, as part of War Machine, has been climbing the tag team ranks in Ring of Honor. He is no stranger to singles action as he proved by winning the 2014 Top Prospect Tournament. He has also scored major wins over a litany of top ROH stars. Hanson has a chance to send a message to The Kingdom with a win here. Taven can do the same with a victory. This will be a true clash of styles that you will not want to miss.

THE KINGDOM'S MICHAEL BENNETT w/MARIA KANELLIS VS DALTON CASTLE

Dalton Castle is making his Collinsville debut against perhaps one of the hottest wrestlers on the planet in Michael Bennett. Bennett is currently one half of the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions along with Matt Taven. The duo have faced and defeated a who’s who of tag teams in ROH and Japan recently. Maria Kanellis will have her husband ready! The devious mastermind will have her hands full when developing a game plan for the unique Castle. Dalton is unlike anyone in Ring of Honor. The flash, the style, the double tough in ring style are all part of his brilliance. Can Castle defeat the red-hot Bennett? Can Bennett contain the “24/7 Party”?

THE DECADE’S ADAM PAGE w/ BJ WHITMER VS MARK BRISCOE

Adam Page is turning a lot heads recently. BJ Whitmer is showing that his faith in Page’s future being bright was dead on. Page is a gifted athlete that has developed a mean streak a mile wide and this makes Whitmer very happy. Mark Briscoe is coming into Collinsville needing eyes in the back of his head, not just for Whitmer, but for The House of Truth. The H.O.T. are on a mission to rid ROH of both Briscoes and this spells trouble. If Mark is not careful, he could lose and lose bad here. Both of these guys are coming in to make an example of the other.

SILAS YOUNG VS CHEESEBURGER

“The Last Real Man” may be misunderstood. Does he really hate everything or is he just playing mind games? Cheeseburger is a cult favorite who makes no bones about how happy he is! These two are about as opposite as can be. Cheeseburger is going to need to use his guile, his speed and his brains in order to combat the unorthodox offense of Young. Silas wants to destroy everything in front of him and this could spell real physical trouble for the Burger!

For Nashville

The final stop on the ROAD TO BEST IN THE WORLD tour is slated for Nashville on June 6th! This is the last chance for ROH stars to make an impact before our next pay-per-view, BEST IN THE WORLD, so every single athlete will be pushing himself to the absolute limit. We already know the main event will be a massive triple threat tag team match between The Addiction, War Machine, and The Briscoes. That same night, Matt Sydal will try to fly against "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin. Plus, ODB RETURNS to Ring of Honor!

RODERICK STRONG VS. DALTON CASTLE

He's a 24/7 party and he's made an unforgettable impression on Ring of Honor: Dalton Castle. While at first glance most wanted to write him off as nothing more than a flashy goof with no business in an ROH ring, Castle immediately silenced his doubters with impressive showings against some of the best in the world, like Jay Lethal and Jushin Thunder Liger. But on June 6th, he takes on a former ROH World Champion who is on an unstoppable rise back to the top in Roderick Strong! Strong has the opportunity to earn a number one contender's position at BEST IN THE WORLD, and no doubt he's focused on that goal. But Strong is too seasoned and too smart to overlook anyone, especially not someone who commands as much attention as Dalton Castle!

4 CORNER SURVIVAL: MOOSE VS. BJ WHITMER VS. CHEESEBURGER VS. SILAS YOUNG

The 4 Corner Survival match traditionally pits some very disparate competitors and styles against each other. But that might never be more apparent than here on June 6th in Nashville! The growing hostilities between Moose and BJ Whitmer will no doubt play their part in this match. Meanwhile, Silas Young is still looking to reestablish himself after an injury put him on the shelf. We saw him unleash some of that aggression on his own tag partner, Watanabe, at GLOBAL WARS. And of course, perennial fan favorite CHEESEBURGER will try to hold his own against men literally twice his size...or more. On June 6th, the 4 Corner Survival might actually mean "survival"!

Adam Page and Will Ferrara are two young, hungry, world class stars in the making who have chosen VERY different paths. Ferrara toils in the ROH Dojo and continues to be grateful and humble according to everyone who speaks of him. But on the flip side, Adam Page has chosen to accept ROH's biggest bully, BJ Whitmer, as his "mentor" and now he's become nearly as bitter and aggressive as his former tormenter. This is sure to be a fast paced, athletic showcase between two men who both want to become the best, even if they means to that end will always be different. On June 6th, Page and Ferrara clash in Nashville!

Just thought more about this, and I think the match that really makes the most sense is Kingdom vs. KRD, but I think that can be saved for the main event of a regular show. Yes, it's heel vs. heel, but so was the HOT vs. Aries, King, & Titus match from 2010, and the fact that it was heel vs. heel made that match rock.

You are right about Briscoe vs. Dijak, but at least that match will be interesting. When was the last time we saw Mark Briscoe face off against a GIANT? Have we ever even seen it?
Castle vs. Silas is going to be one of the same two matches Castle has with everyone, which is also the same match that Silas has with everyone like Castle (Romantic Touch, etc.). It'd be a fine match for a regular show... maybe you could even put it on DBD with a bit of build... but for one of your precious few PPVs, it is a huge waste (and, personally, Castle is not the sort of guy I would put on PPV if you are trying to be the "serious" promotion. I wouldn't want Delirious on their either, and would only use RT in six-man scrambles)
