My guess would be that he knows he is WAY better than the way WWE has been using him for the past few years, and realizes that, at 33, and with his talent, he could probably do decently well in TNA, ROH, CMLL, AAA, on the indies, or overseas.

Sigh. This makes me sad. I like him a lot. But I'm with BRM. I'll probably track him down wherever he ends up and watch him because he's fun.

No reason to be sad. Unless he winds up back in South Africa or in the UK, his stuff will be decently easy to find. And it will last a lot more than six minutes.

I'm just sad that he couldn't find success in the WWE. And part of me feels like this might be the start of a string.

There are definitely more places to go now, and with AJ/Kaz/Daniels/Sabin etc. making good money on the indies and Lucha Underground opening up, you might be right.

Who else do you see following suit? Axel? Maybe Kofi?

my prediction by the end of the year is that Itami and Cesaro will leave the company because of the terrible booking and not going anywhere. Guys like Axel, Slater, or Truth i can see getting fired during the cut season

Not Truth. He's too good at his role.

Cesaro is a good call, though.

Kofi would be a big loss for me. Unfortunately, I have never been able to get behind Axel. I find him terribly boring. But yeah, along those lines.

Cesaro too, and Ryder (I'm honestly surprised he's still there)... I'd probably be able to come up with more if I looked at the roster to find out who was actually still there.
