Lesnar Pulled From Next Week's Raw

Brock Lesnar is no longer in the plans for next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw from Greenville, SC. Given the fact he’s not on the WWE TLC card, the fact he was pulled from the official list of advertised talent is not a surprise.
As CJ noted here at WrestlingNewsWorld.com, John Cena will face Seth Rollins in a Tables Match at the pay-per-view. If Rollins wins, Cena will no longer be the No. 1 contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
The current WWE World Heavyweight Champion is still currently advertised for Monday Night Raw on December 29, 2014, which is the final episode of the year.
Steve Austin asked Vince McMahon about Lesnar’s part-time status during their interview. Below is an excerpt for our coverage by Sean Hopkins:
Austin asks why Brock’s not on television more. Vince says you wouldn’t want it, and he’s a special attraction. He talks about Jake the Snake being special in the beginning, but not so much after he was on TV week after week. Also, Brock’s got a contract with a certain amount of dates. Vince says that the show isn’t just about the title. It helps sometimes, but it’s not just about that. Also, how many people can Brock beat up.

this is good, there's no need for Lesnar to appear until after we know if Cena can overcome the odds and keep his No1 contenders spot

Re: Lesnar Pulled From Next Week's Raw
In some ways I agree with you, but I think that Lesnar appearing and doing something to set up some other possible challenger for him (even if it is just as much as a stare-down) would go a long way to convincing people that Cena might actually lose. Of course, you could also do the same thing by having someone cut a promo on Brock, which would save on Brock's dates.cero2k wrote:this is good, there's no need for Lesnar to appear until after we know if Cena can overcome the odds and keep his No1 contenders spot

I've caught parts, segments, highlights and what have you, but have not been real dialed in the last few months. Have they made any sort of effort to kayfabe explain why Brock isn't around?

none that i've noticed really, but i've missed some of Heyman's promosBob-O wrote:I've caught parts, segments, highlights and what have you, but have not been real dialed in the last few months. Have they made any sort of effort to kayfabe explain why Brock isn't around?

He's a special attraction, like Wrestlemania or Christmas, and if we were to see him every day it wouldn't be "special" anymore. According to Heyman.Bob-O wrote:I've caught parts, segments, highlights and what have you, but have not been real dialed in the last few months. so that's the actual kayfabe reason? doesn't sound like a good enough excuse to ignore the 30 day clauseSerujuunin wrote:He's a special attraction, like Wrestlemania or Christmas, and if we were to see him every day it wouldn't be "special" anymore. Though I think a great way to spin it would be to have Brock say "if you want me to hand the belt over, then come take it from me."

Re: Lesnar Pulled From Next Week's Raw
This has seriously been bugging me the WHOLE F***ING TIME. Seriously. I can't even wrap my brain around why they thought we wouldn't remember that champions have to defend their titles within 30 days or be stripped. They've done it enough in the past. I know, right!
Then again, if they don't expect us to remember crap that happened a few weeks ago, why would they expect us to remember something that hasn't been relevant in years?

Didn't Ziggler have to forfeit a title because he couldn't defend it? Or, am I thinking of Daniel Bryan?Big Red Machine wrote:remember something that hasn't been relevant in years?
Regardless, if you're physically unable to defend it, they're going to need it back until you recover. If you are in great condition and just don't feel like coming to work, you can hang out until the time is right for you. Makes sense.

Re: Lesnar Pulled From Next Week's Raw
Everyone's been talking about Reigns defeating Brock....well I have a different opinion of what I'd like to see:
"FEED ME...THE BEAST."
"FEED ME...THE BEAST."
When they come, they'll come at what you love.

exactly the argument used to vacant the WHC title from BryanBob-O wrote:Didn't Ziggler have to forfeit a title because he couldn't defend it? Or, am I thinking of Daniel Bryan?Big Red Machine wrote:remember something that hasn't been relevant in years?

Re: Lesnar Pulled From Next Week's Raw
It was Dragon, though I believe got a bit more than thirty days, but either way, the way it was portrayed on TV was not that he hadn't defended the title for thirty days, but rather that he wouldn't be able to defend the title for the foreseeable future. The idea of some sort of time limit was never brought up. Using that idea, than Brock shouldn't be stripped of the title because he can defend the title and he does have defenses scheduled.Bob-O wrote:Didn't Ziggler have to forfeit a title because he couldn't defend it? Re: Lesnar Pulled From Next Week's Raw
I'm not saying I like it. I'm just defending their... (for lack of a better phrase) consistency with this particular inconsistency. And it's not like this hasn't happened before. Remember Trish's huge title reign? I think (and I can't believe that I am the one saying this), but I think we should just accept the death of the 30 Days Rule as the new status quo. An announcement would have been nice, but that's how it goes in WWE nowadays.Serujuunin wrote:I still call bullpoopie.Big Red Machine wrote:It was Dragon, though I believe got a bit more than thirty days, but either way, the way it was portrayed on TV was not that he hadn't defended the title for thirty days, but rather that he wouldn't be able to defend the title for the foreseeable future.
