TNA Best Of The X Division Vol 1 Review:
Victory Road 2004: 20 Man X Division Gauntlet: ***1/2 Great fast paced action I loved the story of Kazarian being the 1st guy lasting until the end and then getting beaten in the end
Victory Road 2004: TNA X Division Championship Match Petey Williams vs AJ Styles: ***1/4 Great action but WAY too short still great for the 9 minutes it got
TNA Impact: Qualifier for the Ultimate X Match at Final Resolution 2005 Chris Sabin vs Christopher Daniels: *** Awesome for a TV match and given that Daniels would go on to be a contender for the X Title immediately after the upcoming PPV it was smart booking to have Sabin win via a rollup so Daniels could claim he hadn't been beaten decisively
Final Resolution 2005: Ultimate X Match for The X Division Title Petey Williams vs AJ Styles vs Chris Sabin: ****1/4 Great match probably the greatest Ultimate X Match of all time the bump AJ took was 1 of the craziest things I've seen and the ending was spectacular as well
Against All Odds 2005: 30 Minute Iron Man Mtch for the X Division Title AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels: ****1/2 THIS WAS AWESOME! The story telling with Daniels going after the ribs for the 1st 2 falls was great followed by the story of Daniels beating Styles bloody in the final fall only for Styles to hold out long enough that the match ends in a draw goes into overtime and is able to avoid a move and get a lucky pin was awesome
Destination X 2005: Ultimate X Challenge for the X Division Title AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels vs Elix Skipper vs Ron The Truth Killings: ***3/4 Great action but the story was confusing such as why would Daniels and Styles climb up the wire to jump off them and risk killing themselves for no reason just to hopefully get an advantage also while the end was good Heel work on Daniels part but given AJ didn't get a rematch until months later was the wrong finish to do
Lockdown 2005: X Division Xscape Match Shocker vs Michael Shane vs Chris Sabin vs Sonjay Dutt: ***1/4 Decent stuff but the stuff with the girls I felt hurt it also it kinda felt like Shocker was trying to stay out of the ring too much that it felt off when the announcers were putting it over as him wanting to be in the match
No Surrender 2005: AJ Styles vs Sean Waltman with Jerry Lynn as Special ref: ***1/2 Not a four star classic but given that I've never been a Sean Waltman fan to begin with this is probably his best match I've ever seen from him
No Surrender 2005: Chris Sabin vs Samoa Joe: **** Great story where Sabin was trying to kill the monster but the monster just shakes it off and murders him
Jerry Lynn Sit Down Interview: Great interview alot of TNA's DVD interviews come off as if they're being told what to say but this came off as more legit in what Jerry was saying
Bonus Matches:
TNA Impact: 6 Way Scramble AJ Styles vs Alex Shelley vs Kid Kash vs Amazing Red vs Kazarian vs Chris Sabin: **1/2 Nice action more of a spot fest than a match tho and keeping the commercial break in the match really pissed me off
TNA Impact: Amazing Red and Sonjay Dutt vs Triple X (Elix Skipper and Christopher Daniels): *1/2 Good action but it was only 4 minutes and winning with a rollup probably didn't help build much momentum for the Cage Match the next day between Triple X vs AMW given AMW got a decisive win the week before vs the New York Connection
Overall rating: 9/10 Great stuff but what else could u expect from a DVD centered around the late 2004-2005 TNA X Division? This gets a HUGE recommendation

I cannot agree with your rating here enough.Bulletclubfan2014 wrote: Overall rating: 9/10 Great stuff but what else could u expect from a DVD centered around the late 2004-2005 TNA X Division? This gets a HUGE recommendation
Actually, that's not true, as I think I have rated some of these matches even higher. Anyone who just wants a DVD full of great matches from the glory days of TNA NEEDS to pick this DVD up.

I agree I'm not a fan of TNA's current product but I watch this DVD pretty much religiously just due to how awesome it is in fact I've been a HUGE ROH fan since the 1st time I ever saw it and the TNA product at this time was so great it may have been the only time any American company made me more excited to buy there DVD's more than ROHBig Red Machine wrote:I cannot agree with your rating here enough.Bulletclubfan2014 wrote: Overall rating: 9/10 Great stuff but what else could u expect from a DVD centered around the late 2004-2005 TNA X Division?
