BRM Reviews the 4/26/2014 ROH

OPENING SEGMENT- Cole and Hardy come out and Cole brags about how he and Bennett beat the Briscoes and says that the Briscoes are never coming back. He then takes Jays custom belt and gives it to Matt Hardy who renames it the "Iconic Championship." Steen then comes out and cuts a good promo to build up to his upcoming title match. They started a fight but got beaten down by the combination of Cole, Hardy, and Bennett.

CEDRIC ALEXANDER vs. BJ WHITMER (w/the Decade & Adam Page)- 4.75/10
A short match with the same finish we saw at Supercard of Honor VIII. After the match, Jacobs lectured Cedric and brought up his family and said they weren't proud of him. Cedric spit at Jacobs, so the heels beat him down.

Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino both kept putting over this idea that "we may never see the Briscoes in Ring of Honor again," and I have to ask: why would you even make this an angle? After everything the Briscoe have been through and come back from, does anyone really think that losing some No DQ's matches would make them quit? You just make your announcers look silly.

ADAM COLE PROMO- very good

ADAM EVERETT vs. ACH (w/Tadarius Thomas- 6/10
They had a very good high-flyers match. Jimmy Jacobs stayed around to do commentary for this match and buried ACH.

TRUTH MARTINI VS. MATT TAVEN VIDEO PACKAGE- great

ROH TV TITLE MATCH: Jay Lethal(c) (w/Truth Martini) vs. Alex Koslov-6.5/10
When the hell did Koslov do anything to earn to a title match?! Either way, they had a very good match for the time they were given. The match ended by DQ when Matt Taven came out with his face all bandaged (apparently Truth somehow burned him in the bathroom at Supercard of Honor VIII), so Truth ran into the ring for protection and Lethal fought with Taven to protect Truth, causing Koslov to be DQed right when he was about to win.

Overall, a decent episode of ROH. They put a lot of focus on three differrent angles, which is good for a one hour TV show.
